This saying from a well-known science fiction epic is probably familiar to many of us. Even in reality, this statement retains its truthfulness. The dark side creates curiosity. The unknown what hides and opens only to the initiated. It is interesting because it is not good. And already we want it even more. In science, this is called the "Forbidden Fruit" effect. It goes back to the story of Adam and Eve, who could not resist the temptation of the forbidden fruit. The wicked and mysterious seem to awaken our primal instincts and seduce us. The dark is strong!

Othertune has tried to capture this fascination of the dark in his set. It lives from his synthesizer sounds, which lay over your mind like fog and pull you deeper and deeper into the darkness. Can you resist the temptation?

Inspiriert von organischen und orientalischen Klängen fing der 27-jährige Wahl-Berliner Johann Bello (bürgerlich Paul) mit seinem Downtempo Projekt vor etwa 3 Jahren an, nachdem er hauptsächlich als Melodic Techno DJ unterwegs war. Mit dem kreativen Einsatz von seinem eigenen Signature Kalimba Sound gepaart mit Synthesizern und organischen Percussion Sounds entwickelt er seinen eigenen lebendigen Style. Sein Sound lässt sich als emotional, melancholisch, teils geheimnisvoll und doch treibend beschreiben. Seine wichtigsten Einflüsse sind Künstler wie Arutani, Martha van straaten oder Rampue.
