In the mid 1990's, some of our musical heroes released songs / albums where the subject matter focused on the abuse they suffered at the hands of people they were expected to trust. Our hearts broke for them and we wanted to lift them up. Overall, this song is about picking up your brother who has fallen or is down and out. Don't let abuse define you. Rise above it.

The concept and shell of this song were brought to the table by Asche Relesser in 2004. We are so excited to see that in 2019, many of those musical heroes have moved beyond the pain of their abuse and gone on to use their experiences to help others who are suffering. - Mehringer

ABOUT AUTUMN'S DESCENT:

THE NAME & MESSAGE: Autumn = Fall. Descent = to fall. The subject matter of AUTUMN’S DESCENT songs focuses on the falling down and getting back up in relationships with people and God.

ARTIST DESCRIPTION & HISTORY:
Founded in 1995, AUTUMN’S DESCENT started as a hard rock project with industrial overtones for multi-instrumentalist / songwriter, Asche Relesser. The music is guitar-driven with strong melodic vocals, sprinkled with electronic elements and yet, very radio-friendly. AUTUMN'S DESCENT has had several album and EP releases and, with a rotating lineup, played club & college scenes and festivals all over the United States.

The project took a hiatus from 2012-2018. During that time, Facebook and Instagram became the primary social media tools. AUTUMN'S DESCENT started building online presence and rebuilding its fan base in 2019.

LICENSING:
Breaking into the TV / Film/ Video Game industry in 2005, AUTUMN'S DESCENT has had songs placed in Television Shows on MTV, VH1, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, WB, A&E, Disney, and the NFL Channel.

RESCINDING DEADLETTERS:
After years of being in production, full-length album RESCINDING DEADLETTERS released on Valentines Day, 2020. The album is a complete reworking of AUTUMN'S DESCENT's 2003 album, DEADLETTERS, which sold out of its initial pressing but was held back from digital release because Asche Relesser hated the production quality. Now, after 17 years, the album has been re-recorded from scratch with updated modern production, some new arrangements, new artwork, and global digital distribution. INSTRUMENTALS: RESCINDING DEADLETTERS, the entire album without vocals, samples, or guitar solos, will be available on digital platforms on Friday, March 13th, 2020. AUTUMN'S DESCENT is playing select shows across North America and Europe in support of RESCINDING DEADLETTERS.

BEYOND 2020:
An album of all new material is already in the works for after RESCINDING DEADLETTERS with a hopeful release sometime in 2021.

In October of 1995, Asche Relesser started Autumn's Descent as a hard rock project with industrial overtones. From 1996-2011 it became a live performing entity, releasing several albums & EPs, and performing shows across the United States.  Starting in 2003, Autumn's Descent's music was licensed into TV Shows, Movies, and Video Games.  The project went inactive from 2011-2017.  In July 2018, AUTUMN'S DESCENT returned to the stage at AUDIOFEED Festival in Champaign, IL.  Asche has been reworking material from the 2003 Deadletters album off and on since 2008. He's let some of it out (singles "Sometimes" & "Sad Goodbye" in 2015, "Dismantle" and "She's Not What She Seems" in 2017). His goal is to release an album called RESCINDING DEADLETTERS in the near future (2019?). The album would feature all 15 songs from the original album re-recorded from scratch, plus a future album of alternate versions, remixes, B-sides, and demos.  Following RESCINDING DEADLETTERS, Autumn's Descent also has an album of completely new material in the works... If Asche can ever find the time to finish it.  AUTUMN'S DESCENT is performing limited engagements (mainly festival shows) in 2019 & 2020.
