Sickla Sessions is the first mixtape from Av en vän. The mixtape is recorded in the deepest heart of industrial block Sickla during an early sunday in March. The mixtape give the listener a musical journey from deep house to techno and among the tracks you find producers as Todd Terje, Mark Mago, Kaiserdisco, Roth & Streicher and Audiojack.

“Av en vän” is a collaboration between the swedish djs and digital producers Andreas Bergh and Patric Julian. Their vision is to create something else by combining new technology, the best music and the latest services online.

“Trollbunden” is the first original track from the musical duo “Av en vän”. The track was written on a sunday in Berlin after an inspiring night at the club ://about.blank.

“Trollbunden” (previously released as “Værst Af Alla”) is built upon a monotone baseline, a mix of different percussions and a Drumcode (label) vibe, which are some of the things that “Av en vän” really appreciate with the techno scene right now. The track is the first from the duo’s debut EP that will be released during 2015.

“Av en vän” is a collaboration between the Swedish DJs and digital producers Markus Bergh and Patric Julian. With the roots in deep house and techno, they want to participate in making the music scene evolve. The two friends met while working together at a digital agency in Stockholm, Sweden.

Abra Sessions June 2015 (AVN002)

On the 19th of November, Swedish techno duo “Av en vän” releases their debut EP “Saga”. The EP contains of four tracks which aims to take the listener on a musical journey from the deeper frequencies of the city to the soundless landscapes in the nature. 

First out is “Trollbunden” that is built upon a monotone baseline, a mix of percussions and a Drumcode (label) vibe. Trollbunden was Av en vän’s first track and released the 30th of April 2015. Following is “Glimmer”, that has an ongoing melodic rhythm but still sticks to the ground rules of techno music with a tight beat and a stripped down sound. “Allena” brings you to the present of the nature and was written during a trip to a lost cabin in the deep forest of Dalarna. “Dekadens”, the fourth and final track, is more of a darker experience than the previous tracks and takes the listener below the city surface and into the infrastructure of a pulsing city. 

Saga will be able to listen to in a custom developed player using SoundCloud API on official site of Av en vän at www.avenvan.se. While listening the user can experience visuals in the same context, this as a way of connecting the digital media with the music Av en vän produces. The waveform of all songs will be sold from www.everyheartbeat.se as posters.
