Records and Damianos perception of music in general including all its facets and interpretations of samples and instruments you can find in Jazz, Disco, House, Hip Hop, Techno and Electronica.

Von Erckerts interpretation of an ,Album‘ is a concept containing a story. The Collaboration between Tyler Pope (formerly member of Warp Records signed Band ,!!!‘) and him combines Krautrock, Brazil and Techno. The track ,We Flow‘ with Chicago based singer Amalia is reduced to the essence of House & Disco where ,Hustle With The Big Boys‘ featuring Hodini & Am Kinem, ,There‘s No Wrong‘ featuring Retrogott, ,Infintiy‘ featuring May and ,First Day Of A Dollar‘ links electronic and organic sound. Damiano breaks up Techno elements with House in ,BUBBLES‘ and joins them into togetherness.

Not least there‘s all the way through the album a thread of Soul shown by collaborations with Miles Bonny on ,LOVE LOVE LOVE‘, Tito Wun ,Work for Love‘, ,New Ehrenfeld Swing‘ and ,Jai Alai‘.

AVA. Records is about to reissue Move D’s Kunststoff album from 1994. Coming this May, there will be two handcrafted and remastered versions.

Aside from a classic 2LP release, AVA.LP006, there will also be a limited edition 4LP housed in a handmade box - AVA.XL001. This exclusive repress of Move D’s seminal masterpiece will be limited to 130 copies worldwide. It will contain the original album, two records of previously unreleased Kunststoff material, a cassette tape with live jams from 2005 and a signed screen print.

Taking inspiration from the iconic original sleeve design, this limited edition is beautifully put together by hand in Heidelberg, Germany – Move D’s hometown, and the birthplace of Kunststoff in 1994. Each element of the design represents a part of the chair depicted on the original sleeve artwork: orange leather, dark wood, brushed metal and the blue carpet. 

The boxes are assembled by hand and wrapped with high-quality Fedrigoni paper that matches the original design's orange leather upholstery. The title and credits on the back are screen-printed in white, by hand, using the original release's iconic typography. The box is inlaid with thick blue felt representing the blue carpet. On top of the four records lies a numbered screen-print of the minimalistic chair design, printed on the same orange Fedrigoni Italian stock used for the box, and signed by Move D. The record sleeves are printed silver on white, with slick type on the back and four versions of the original chair design on each cover. And finally, as the cherry "on top“, a cassette is found on the bottom in a specially designed opening in the felt inlay. 

This box is a project of true passion, crafted by hand, to the highest standards of quality in the very same beautiful city that is home to this exceptional artist. Each part of this lavish package is lovingly designed to form a grand tribute to a truly seminal record and its creator.

Metatone was founded in 1993 by Adkins himself together with Damon D’cruz who had by that time closed his previous label, Jack Trax. Over the next two years, Metatone released six 12” EP’s and a CD compilation until its abrupt end. The releases flew under the radar for many but were loved by those who were lucky enough to discover them. Today, the original pressings are a techno crate digger’s daydream.

Compiled from the original DAT tapes and remastered by Andreas “Lupo” Lubich at Calyx Mastering, “Electro Music Union, Sinoesin & Xonox Works 1993 - 1994” calls for J. M. Adkins’ music to be firmly placed among the defining classics of its time.
