In Genesis 2:7 it says, “Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.” That verse moves me every time I read it. It reminds me that my very existence is not my own doing but the gift of God’s breath within me.
When I sing these words, I think about how fragile I am on my own. I am dust, but in Him I am alive. His Spirit is not just what gave me life at the beginning, it is what sustains me every day. Without Him, my soul withers, but with Him, I find strength and renewal.
This song is my prayer to stay close to the One who breathes life into me. It is a confession that I need His Spirit more than I need anything else. Every heartbeat, every breath, is grace from Him.
