This is the first song I wrote since returning to my home on the south coast of Co. Wexford in July(2014). It's about friendship, and was inspired by all the good people I knocked about with this summer - walkers, players, talkers, swimmers, co-workers, sisters, cousins, family, neighbours...

Carlos Hernandez is the son of a ’70s New York soul DJ. After a detour playing in punk and noise projects, he returned to his soul roots and formed Ava Luna, a band of two girls and four guys, to explore a sound that combines all those ideas.

In the band’s hazy, floaty, post-TVOTR-maybe conceit, post-punk grooves, soaring soul harmonies, and classic indie detachment join forces for something beautiful, infectious, and damn-near indescribable.
