Etsun is a Rotterdam based DJ with Indonesian roots. Together with Djoodi, he runs sealstars*, a musical collective which serves as an outlet for decontextualizing and recontextualizing dance music from all over the world.

His eclectic, catch-all approach to mixing and curating is primarily inspired by the multicultural nature of his hometown. Said approach to DJing sees him show love for music from all over the world; whether it's drill, kuduro, perreo, hardcore breaks or making mash-ups of k-pop and gabber on the fly - you never know what you're going to get.

This mix is, above all, an ode to bubbling, one of the greatest Dutch club genres ever made. Bubbling was created by accident in the late 1980s, when DJ Moortje played a 33rpm dancehall record at 45rpm, resulting in a new sound, characterized by rapid dembows and high-pitched vocals. In the years thereafter, producers started fleshing out the bubbling sound, with rave-y synthesizers and percussion sampled from traditional Dutch Antillean music. This mix doesn’t solely feature bubbling music; instead, it’s based on the 33rpm-to-45rpm technique, giving the songs on the setlist a unique new sound.
It serves as a counterpart to one of etsun’s 2021 mixes, Nu-beat.

"In this mix I want to manifest my passion, respect and love for all the selected artists, and bring together different worlds of musical genius. The aesthetic commonality that connects all these works has allowed me to enter into dialogue with the artist by including unreleased live recordings of myself. I am interested and inspired to observe how different, similar or even very different musical worlds function, but also to discover the universal commonality, the unique power of music through it, which no other medium in art expresses the way music does.
I'm mainly interested in compositional ideas and processes and I am fascinated by certain happenings in these selected passages. The power of innovation is both startlingly beautiful and almost frightening at the same time. With this mixing work I want to enter and influence this innovative power, by setting sounds, passages or accents in a new way. It triggers an indescribable euphoria in me.

Noémi Büchi is a Swiss/French composer and sound artist that creates electronic, symphonic maximalism. Her music is defined by a delicate synthesis of textural rhythms and electroacoustic- orchestral abstraction. She explores the potential of consonance and dissonance, contrasts rhythmic physicality with disruption and playfully emphasizes irregularities, creating an expansive listening experience marked by detail and elevation.
After her studies in electroacoustic composition, musicology and german literature, she already played at various festivals and was awarded a culture prize of the city of Zürich. Her 2019 debut EP ‘Matière’, released through Light of Other Days, drew widespread acclaim. In 2020, she released a second EP ‘Prismic Passages’ on the Leipzig- based tape label Visible Dinner. -OUS Records will be releasing her debut album ‘Matter’ and its prelude ‘Hyle’ in 2022, as well as the debut album of Musique Infinie, a collaboration between Noémi Büchi and Swiss/Italian composer and installation artist Feldermelder.

Based in Kyiv, at 14 Ars started to work as a producer with some of the most influential american rappers in the hip-hop underground scene such as Bones, Chris Travis and Xavier Wulf. After being part of Bones' label @teamsesh until 2014, the young ukrainian producer started working on WWWINGS project with GHOSTE2X, a guy from Russia that Ars met online. Raised from the ashes of BWWWOYS in the heart of what the artists themselves called "The Post-Soviet Hell", WWWINGS was an experimental electronic group born in 2015, consisting of 3 artists from Russia and Ukraine: GXXOST, AWRWSW (now known as Ars Was Taken) and Lit Eyne. After realising several Eps, their first album PHOENIXXX re-issued on https://soundcloud.com/planetmurecords presents collaborations with artists such as Endgame, Chino Amobi and Dj Heroin.
Trio's Music marked the advent of a new type of industrial electronic music and the beginning for a new generation of accelerated post apocalyptic dance music.
In october 2018 Ars Was Taken published his first self-release "Hold on 2 to me", a 15-tracks album composed with a more conscious approach and many collborations both with producers and singers.
