Born in Poland and raised in Detroit, Magda's realm as an artist spans far beyond the typical role of DJ and producer, as she's also involved in music technology collaborations and events to producing premium Tequila - creating a truly unique, multifaceted expression of herself. When she's behind the decks, you'll never know what to expect: her wide selection spans from old-school house grooves into more hard and trippy electro tunes, all together into a formidable arsenal of electronic beats. Recently, Magda has produced and performed alongside T.B. Arthur as Blotter Trax, combining modular synthesis, live improvisation and rhythmic exploration. What's next? We don't know, but in the meantime, enjoy this 1-hour recording from the one and only Magda.

Closing set at Organik Festival 2019 in Hualien, Taiwan. Last 1,5 hours was a b2b with Diskonnected. 

Picture this: A slow steep drive down through a narrow jungle path, 
the sound of distant ocean waves, frogs, and insects is all you hear until suddenly the jungle opens up and you've arrived at Organik Festival.

Located on a secluded beach on the Taiwan east coast facing the seemingly infinite Pacific with awesome mountain rocks and jungle kneeling to it. A beast of a brand new model Funktion One sound system tuned to perfection and a rare gathering of the most loving and kind people you can imagine. 

This is the spirit of Organik. Nature, quality, peace, and a big coherent mix of dreamy techno, ambient, experimental, house, and disco. Personally have I never experienced a better festival. Was such a pleasure and honour to close the festival on a late Sunday night playing after Dorisburg. I got around different styles and wanted to play a non linear set and instead take people on a journey. I hope you feel some of the festival vibe in the recording.

The last hour and a half my friend and Smoke Machine Taiwan resident joined me in a b2b showing a rare housy side of his palette.

S.A.M. @ Organik Festival 2019 (CLOSING SET!)

Manuel Belgrano, Manuk, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1982 and is now based between London, UK, and Mallorca, Spain.

As a kid, he started playing guitar and receiving musical training at the local conservatory until the age of 14. He then took a jazz focused formation after high school. Following this he played in rock bands until the age of 26, which gave him the chance to perform all over Argentina and to tour Uruguay and Brazil eventually.

Searching for cross-genre music since the late 90’s/early 00’s, when he's got his first pair of turntables, has definitely helped to craft his sound which incorporates elements from various styles and genres.

His studio experience as a producer started right after that when he discovered the possibility to record multitrack sessions in portastudios and later in computers. So he started to experiment with it. This experimentation lead into his interest in sound creation/processing/modulation and hardware manipulation which he has kept exploring until the present, and has allowed him to release records in labels such as: EYA Records, SUR, Trichome, Lonewolf and In Therapy among others.

Having visited Europe a couple of times since 2008, he moved to London in 2012. This gave him the opportunity to perform across Europe at clubs such as Fabric London, Club der Visionaere & Hoppetosse, RED 58 and The Lion & Lamb among quite a lot of other “not so respected” venues, basements and warehouses, and in parties such as House of Sound, Half Baked, Cartulis and Checkpoint to name a few.
