AVA’s newest resident and a name currently building up momentum with a plethora of high quality releases and remixes, Somna returns for his second single on AVA Recordings and is joined by American DJ & Vocalist Jennifer Rene.  A name synonymous with high quality vocals and regarded as one of the best vocalists in our genre, her distinctly mesmerizing voice coupled by her abilities to song-write beautiful pieces of music has propelled her to become one of the industry’s most sought after vocal talents.
 
The result of this collaboration is the emotionally charged “Because You’re Here”.  Beautifully written piano chords dance alongside Jennifer’s unmistaken voice as she carries the track with her heartwarming vocals.  Contrasting the breakdown with layers of energetic synths and rolling bass lines, the track ramps up it’s energy to provide that peak time assistance needed in a club without ever losing the emotion that will leave you breathless.

After doing serious damage on the charts, AVA092 see’s the return of Betsie Larkin & Andy Moor’s Not Afraid to the schedule with two packs of remixes. Kickstarting the round of remixes is the aptly titled “Remixes Part 1” which features Somna and White Zoo. 

Label regular Somna returns to AVA to deliver a stunning remix which packs club flavored elements while retaining the subtle beauties that Betsie Larkin & Andy Moor have created in their original. 

Big airy chorded synthesizer leads fill the spectrum without taking away from Betsie’s emotionally charged vocals while an aggressive low end carries weight within the spectrum for maximum impact. Big hands in the air stuff for the trance 2.0 fans!

On the flipside, White Zoo warps and twists the track into new territories. We had a discussion in the AVA offices and one word that kept popping up was “wacky”. Busting borders with creative uses of wobbles and square leads, White Zoo surprises with his remix and the complexity of his arrangement. This remix encompasses everything that complextro and electro are all about and if you’re after an alternative mix, this is the one for you!

AVA’s 93rd release comes from Miami’s Joseph Areas. Having already stamped his mark with remixes of Andy Moor’s “Fade To Light” as well as Andy’s collaboration with Lange, Joseph makes a single appearance on AVA with a progressive hard hitter entitled ‘Beluga’. Twisting together bass stabs alongside big open chords and a cheeky square lead, ‘Beluga’ is a nice break from overly aggressive music without losing it’s club appeal.

Making his first solo debut but not a unfamiliar name to AVA after his collaboration with Somna on Andy Moor’s “Breaking The Silence vol. 3” compilation is Yang who’s joined by singer/songwriter Amy Kirkpatrick from the band Data Romance. Working together to create the kind of emotional energy we love, the two have crafted a heartfelt musical composition talking about the constant struggles our hearts go through in the quest for love. With a beautifully rich production filled with soft and intricate melodies and warm low undertones, “Hearts At War” is a fantastic example of the kind of sustainable music we look for at AVA Recordings. On the flipside, Denver based producer Tangle makes his AVA debut with his energetic uplifting remix. Without losing the beauty of the original, Tangle weaves a more energetic and uplifting mix that has peak time written all over it. No stranger to quality with his consistent output on quality labels, it’s our pleasure to welcome Tangle and his peak time take on this release!
