Originally the song Survivor was born with the idea of making a reference to a story that I really liked within art, but, from the day of its creation and until the day the public will be able to hear it, that perspective changed.
During these last few months I have faced so many health problems, both physical and emotional, which caused many doubts within me, in my way of living and the activities I did. I came to the idea of giving up many things in my life, among which was music. I felt like I was of no use.
After a long time in communication with myself I got my answer: I didn't want to give up, I wanted to continue doing many things, which made me happy and made me live. That's why I felt like a survivor, because despite all the complications I decided to endure all this and keep fighting.

Mexican producer Alpha Frequency provides suave balearic beats as his signature sound on the imprint. He has contributed to our seasonal compilations and has remixed. Now he debuts his first official release on Soluna. 

If you enjoy grooving to percussive balearic deep house, "Brisa del Mar" is your jam! The original is pura vida, or pure life, your latin essential bottled up in a balearic genie lamp. Bongo led percussion, steel drum elements, and lovely Spanish chants over a deep house soundscape create progressive magic. "Me gusta la mar" echoes down this reverberating, deep and dope progressive take on "Brisa del Mar". Atmospherika ignites a latin fire with a driving bassline that will throttle the thighs on the sultry dance floor. On the flip side is Andrew Frenir with his signature melodic progressive influences. Here, in this intoxicating soundscape, the beauty of the clear balearic waters reflect the gentle charisma of "Brisa del Mar".

Reaching international listeners on Proton Radio, Digitally Imported, and other radio platforms, Silk Music Showcase recently reached its 400th episode (http://www.silkmusicshowcase.com) and now often ranks amongst the Top 100 Music Podcasts in the USA on iTunes.

Carefully selected to represent the sound of our radio show (and, more generally, our label), the songs included in the compilation range from the more pensive and melancholic shades of progressive to the more club-oriented, peak-hour material we tend to play at the end of our radio show mixes and live sets. Many of the artists are seasoned veterans of the SMS compilation series; there are also numerous first-time contributors to this year's compilation, many of whom have asserted themselves as leading talents in trance & progressive in just the past year.
