A year and a half ago I had a stroke due to a vascular accident. As a result of damage to my laryngeal nerve, I completely lost my voice. I had previously created a cover of the Depeche Mode classic and decided to use it as a therapy tool. At first, I couldn't get three words out without breaking down into a coughing fit. Now after over a year of working at it, I can say that recovery is possible. I sound different now... but my voice is back to some degree

I wrote this song for a girl I fell in love with in Colorado back in 1987 at the age of 16. Now 33 years later we’ve been married for over 25 years. I found an old cassette tape of the original song I recorded using two synthesizers, a drum machine, and two tape decks... For our 25th anniversary, I redid this song because I love her more today than ever!

Hi, my name is Andre Vatke and on this page I've demoed a few of my compositions. I hope you enjoy them. 

I first started recording computer music in the mid 80's starting with a CZ-1000 and a TR-505. I later graduated to an MC-500, lots of gear and have recently gone almost completely virtual with the Reason software package from Propellerhead Software.

In the late 90's I created a sound set for Creative Labs France, was a top 100 artist on MP3.com (ambient/electronic) and played live in various venues. I currently produce music mostly for myself and for video projects.
