HOBOIN’ MIND (Music & Lyrics by Christoph Karlheim)

This is our new track which will also be included on our up and coming album no. II in 2025. This song refers to a few things: 
1) Woody Guthrie ones said “music is the language of the mind that travels” 
2) There are a few hints to the Beats and also to C. Bukowski 
3) The drumparts are nods to both Atomic Steif (Sodom) and Stewart Copeland (The Police) 
4) With the verb “hobo” I’d like to describe a mind which is agile/versatile/loose and free to move – even if it ‘just’ happening in your own thoughts and is not taking place in physical movement or action. 

The mind is a beast of its own kind and with its own agenda – so, don’t panic!!!

A/V Cult are long time friends and rock fans who enjoy writing music together - mostly alternative rock. Dave and Glenn grew up about six houses down the street from each other in Northern Virginia (outside of DC) and have been best friends for ages. They met John in the early 90s when he joined the band they started called Killing Beethoven. Life happened, they moved on with careers and families but always stayed close. They started writing music together again a few years ago and decided to start posting it as A/V Cult.
