Some days I feel great, proud of who I am and happy with my life. Some days I just sit and think of all the reasons Im a bad person, all the reasons im not good enough, all the reasons some of my friendships have come to an end. Its so easy to get caught in this negative thought spiral. Sometimes it catches me for weeks at a time. There are only a few people who are able to pull me out of it. I'm so thankful for those people. The voices in your head will lie to you. They may make you hate yourself and hate your life sometimes. You cannot listen. Stop doubting yourself. Stop hating, and start forgiving. You are human and we all make mistakes. You are perfect exactly how you are, and you're good enough. Fuck those voices in your head trying to tell you otherwise.

I had my first introduction to electronic music with the release of Odesza's album "In Return" in 2014. I was instantly obsessed, and since then I have always had a passion for edm. During my senior year of high school (2017-2018) Illenium's album "Awake" was released, and it completely changed my perspective of what electronic music could be. The vocals, production, and emotion of those tracks were unlike anything I had ever heard. That album got me through some very hard times, and I wanted to do the same for someone else through music. Towards the end of senior year I downloaded Ableton (a popular program for music production). I was incredibly overwhelmed. I had no prior musical knowledge or experience, and Ableton is extremely difficult to jump into. I learned quickly that it takes a tremendous amount of knowledge, creativity, and hard work to produce music. This was a discouraging revelation. Every few months I would sit down, produce a terrible track, close my laptop and move on thinking "this just isn't for me". Then around December of freshman year of college, a switch flipped in my mind. I decided that I was not going to stop until I learned music production. That was about three and a half years ago, and I'm still working hard to produce music with emotion, something people can connect with. I truly believe that no heart makes dreams work and time can't match.
