Since the launch of our website we have been wondering who to ask for the first one in a new series of mixes until one of our absolute favourite DJs in the whole world placed an order in the store. Naturally, we wasted no time and immediately seized the opportunity to ask him for a mix. He was happy to do so and delivered very quickly.

We are excited to present to you this wonderful mix by the legendary digger, DJ and resident at the infamous Potato Head Beach Club in Bali that is DJ Dea. Just how he has managed to remain so fairly unknown for all those years is an absolute mystery to us.

After a long break since the last mix, it is our Berlin-based friend from Venezuela, Andres Astorga aka Trujillo, stepping up next in the mix series. He is known for his monthly mix series that went from 2009 to 2016, running his own label Apersonal and spreading the Cosmic Caribe vibe around the globe.

Based out of Brooklyn / NYC he runs https://www.jrdigitalarchive.net/ where he spends his time uncovering many lost or forgotten treasures. A must visit for any vinyl head stateside.

Here he brings a little piece of the shop through some seductive soul music before moving into more upbeat territories and back again. A feel good kind of mix which is nice considering the world is upside down and inside out at the moment!

So we decided to continue this glorious tradition and invited a person with an incredibly developed musical erudition to participate in our show - Mr. Filip Esaiasson (the man behind "hand picked selection" labels - Fri Form & Dubbla Budskap). So laid back, press play, open a Google Street View and take the 61-minute soothing journey around Tyresta National Park, for example.

Sua música o levou a Tóquio, Copenhague, Bruxelas e Estocolmo em 2019 e, em 2020, Richard permaneceu ocupado compartilhando suas descobertas musicais em programas de rádio na (Rinse France, Ola Radio Bordeaux, IMR Paris, Rocket Radio Milano, Depot Radio Copenhagen), mix de séries (De Kat Memwa de São Petersburgo) e com um filme / mixtape de 60 min explorando muitos grooves raros brasileiros e caribenhos e filmes épicos para a equipe dinamarquesa Back To Future Sounds.

Richard Fribert is a Swedish vinyl affecionado, DJ and edit maker based in Paris. He is one of the guys behind the YouTube channel @quartiergroove exploring forgotten and unknown grooves from all over the planet, and part of the Parisian collective @nostandards. His music took him all the way to Tokyo, Copenhagen, Brussels & Stockholm in 2019, and in 2020 Richard has remained busy sharing his music discoveries in radio shows at (Rinse France, Ola Radio Bordeaux, IMR Paris, Rocket Radio Milano, Depot Radio Copenhagen), mix series (De Kat Memwa from St Petersburg) and with a 60 min film/mixtape exploring lots of Caribbean and Brazilian rare grooves and epic films for the Danish crew Back To Future Sounds. He is currently just about to release his first edit on Bandcamp for the young Brazilian label Bongosynth (don’t miss his take on this hard-hitting Ivete Sangalo axé track) and Richard is the man behind a handful of upcoming dancefloor friendly edits with Turkish and Lebanese roots.



In his mix, Richard takes from down to uptempo, from Brazil to the Middle East, through a wide variety of genres and styles. He showcases both some of his most recent own discoveries, a few of his own new private cuts, and towards the end he features some unreleased exclusive music made by friends @dardisku & @movingstill.
