Hey SoundCloud! This is version 2 of Dr. Wily Stage 1 from Megaman 3. In this version, I raised the bass up an octave, changed the guitar sample, added another section to the second part of the song, and fixed up the ending. Enjoy!

And, I'm back again today with another one and I have to say... This is the quickest, yet one of my best sounding tunes so far, taking only around 30-45 minutes to complete! I've actually had this on my to-do list for a very long time now, so I'm extremely happy with how it sounds. Also, say hi to the new vibraphone, bass and backing clav! This is another one which was on my to-do list for a long time, but I just put it off, and off, and off, so now I've pulled it back out, polished the bells and whistles and boom! Anyway, enjoy!

Hey, SoundCloud! This is my SMPS remake of the track "Twilight Express" from Battle Mania Daiginjou. Why a song from such an obscure game? Well, why not! This all started after EgorTF showed me his version of the tune and I really liked it, so I asked him for the midi he used, and whipped a version up within an hour. He suggested that the backing guitar should be a little bit grittier, but I like it the way it is.

Hello, SoundCloud! This is my SMPS version of Sonic Scorched Quest's Boss Theme, originally composed by TheEighthBit under the name "Rock".

This whole thing originated back last year, when I was bored in some class. The base midi is the result of that boredom. I had completely forgotten about it until JoenickROS released a version based on my midi (btw, great job Joe ;D), which is an honour. I quickly arranged it to fit the SMPS limits and got it finished in less than a few hours.

Hello, SoundCloud! This is my SMPS version of Aqua Lake Zone's theme from Sonic 2 on the Master System and Game Gear.

This SMPS was supposed to have been made over half a year ago, although with the skills I had at the time, in addition to the basic, generic instruments I used to use, I couldn't make it happen. However, fast-forward to around half a year later, and here we are!

I must give a special mention to Aquellex who gave me crucial criticism and ideas to make this SMPS what it is now. I should also give a special mention to Eduardo Knux, who gave a little bit of criticism to some of the volume levels.

So, Omelette was basically drawn into existence by an artist who completely misinterpreted Eggman's upside-down sprite in a particular boss in Sonic Mania. Later, the misinterpretation exploded with popularity... And now we have this.

Hello, all! This is my new SMPS version of Stardust Speedway Bad Future from the US version of Sonic CD.

This was made in about 3-4 hours as a half challenge, half request from Pacguy. She wanted to use my old port, but I begged her not to use that one, saying that I'd make an updated version within the week. Sure enough, I got it done this afternoon, and it will now be featured in her hack, Sonic 2 CD Remix as the Metal Sonic/Knuckles fight music.

Hey, SoundCloud! This is my remake of everyone's favourite Sonic Mania track, Press Garden Zone Act 2! Even though I prefer the Act 1 version, I chose this one to get to know LMMS a little better and because it's a pretty kick-ass song. This one took a little while to perfect, and work on it spanned over about 2 weeks.

SMPSComp R38: Shovel Knight - A Thousand Leagues Below (Iron Whale) [YM2612+SN76496]

Hey, everyone! This is my original composition for my music assignment, "Soul Trader". For this, I had to use the D harmonic major and the chords D minor and A major to make a 24-bar long original song. As you can see, I did a lot more than 24 bars.  :P

This took me almost a month of on-off work, plus any time in class, so I am really happy that I composed something like this in such a short amount of time! I took inspiration from quite a number of different places, for example - Beginning from Castlevania 3, Fillmore from ActRaiser, SoundofaShadow's Haunted Manor Act 1 and even MJ's Another Part of Me for the middle bit.

I really hope that you enjoy this as much as I liked making it! Cheers ^o^

What I ended up composing is probably one of the greatest grooves I've ever written! I'm definitely finishing this composition once I complete this challenge! ^_^

Day 5's prompt was to use a compound meter (basically, an out-there time signature). I chose to use 5/4 time, and I really like how it turned out. I tried my hardest to avoid the 5/4 clave to be as original as possible. For this one, I tried scoring a puzzle-filled underground cave.

The prompt for day 7 was to write a song only using guitars. Since i have no access to the guitar, I just used a whole bunch of guitar-ish sounding synths to replicate it. I'd consider this composition to be a half-baked idea compared to the others, but it's what I composed, so it's going up as today's piece. ^_^;;

Unofficial VGMA 21 Day Composition Challenge: Day 7 - Guitarland

Heya, SoundCloud! This is my custom SMPS for Act 3 of Project Warped World's Magma Chamber Zone.

I've had this one sitting on the back-burner for quite a while now (10th of October last year!) since I didn't really like it when I first composed it. After finding the file on my old computer however, I had a listen back and it's not as bad as I once thought. I'll probably redo this one later anyway.

In Magma Chamber Zone's final act, Dr. Eggman's "Burrow Mobile" has drilled into a weak part of the volcano and now it's set to erupt! Sonic now has to make a quick exit, making sure to dodge lava geysers, lava balls, and a rapidly rising lava river.

Sadly, it doesn't seem like the hack is actually going to properly happen, however I do intend on completing this soundtrack. Whether that be in months or years, I hope you enjoy my Project Warped World SMPS tunes!
