Done after a 38 hour run of Fate/Extra, and therefore the name. It's the most fun I've had with a composition for a long while. The mix is pretty rough though, since everything is clashing with everything else, especially at the climax where it gets really messy...

The ending section is still very messy as I haven't done much automation or mixing yet, that will depend on how much time I have to continue to work on this track. Supposed to be a very regal and "Arthurian" composition, but didn't really turn out that way, although I'm still pretty pleased with the overall result.

Was originally going to try to record my own Erhu playing for this piece, but due to dwindling motivation, lack of skill and patience I decided to use a sample instrument instead. Fortunately, I came across Ambertone's "Chang Erhu" which sounds great and is reasonably priced!

A lot of different libraries used in this one, most of which were changed halfway through making the piece, which makes it sound kind of incoherent. Also had to cut back on instruments since I maxed out my computer's RAM. Haven't checked the mix on proper speakers, but sounds ok on headphones...

Overall very pleased with the outcome!

Passing Time

I am (embarrassingly enough, given the sound quality of my compositions) a sound designer (I wanted to add "professional" but decided against it) who likes to dabble in composition once in a while. 

I have no illusions on how amateurish my compositions and mixes are, but I hope to one day reach the standards of a commercial movie soundtrack with my works. I'm a long way from reaching that goal but hopefully you will enjoy what I have to offer right now.
