"We're thrilled to introduce the next release by Aviary Recordings, AVI 017, a collaboration between Label Founder Aves Volare & Doshpot. The two met in Australia when a promoter noticed they both had live elements in their performances, with Aves bringing his vocals and Doshpot bringing his synthesiser elements to the show. This booking turned into a very memorable gig performance and they formed a close friendship.

With Doshpot's unique and alluring synthesiser sounds, Aves felt they were very exclusive and deliberated on this project in terms of how he would marry them together. Due to the analogue quality, they didn't want to release until they knew it was something they were very proud of. As a result, this project took the better part of 3 years to complete. 

Due to the special feeling Aves and Doshpot had about this project, they wanted the strongest remixers for this package. We don't think we could have done much better drafting Christian Bonori (ICONYC Music, Click Records, and Yoshitoshi Recordings) and Heerhorst (Senso Sounds, Stil Vor Talent, and Octopus Records) to bring their undeniable talents to this package. The combination of all three tracks are bound to make an impression.

We are so glad to finally share the most long-awaited EP we've encountered to date; 3 years in the making to finally reach a moment of Synchronicity.

This diverse pack of unique music includes 3 tracks from our Aviary Music Production School students, Bün, Sami & LuciDream. 

If you are following our story, you will now know that our label is a platform to help unknown artists & aspiring Music Production Students to be seen & heard. I have been teaching Ableton to, mentoring & guiding these 3 rising talents to polish their sounds. My role has been to bring their creations to life & the result is their debut release on our welcoming record label. 

Wake Up, by newcomer Bün, is a really stomping Melodic Techno track with a dramatic breakdown guided by haunting Female vocals. Outstanding track that is sure to get people's attention to be the Kings & Queens that they want to be ;) 

Samantha, by Sami, is really smooth! This energetic bass rolling progression samples a very famous movie monologue. Do you recognise it? 

LuciDream brings us a deep male monologue in spoken word. Sonho Lúcido is actually portuguese for Lucid Dream, a really poetic "artist name" meets "track name" concept. Furthermore, she is a very talented pianist too! So keep an eye out for her amazing talents in the future :) 

To complete our pack, we also welcome two artists who are not from the student ranks. Nonetheless, great demos that got our attention & deserve to be heard. 

Turkish producer Caspase & Frankfurt local Swen Baez provide 2 more wonderful inclusions to complete the pack. 

We are delighted to have this whole team of newcomers all together & introduce them to you for the very first time.

Subliminal Hypnosis EP – A Hypnotic and Engaging Experience

The Subliminal Hypnosis EP is an incredibly hypnotic and engaging release from LINUS BEATSKiP and three other talented producers/Djs. 

The original single, Hypnosis, sets the tone as it takes the listener to an upbeat Big room Techno state with its hypnotic groove and raw edge. This is then followed up with different mixes of the song from Mac Vaughn, Paul Prior, and River 44 respectively, each adding their own unique flavor and style to the track. 

Mac Vaughn’s Peak Time Techno version is an upbeat and energizing version that will definitely get your feet tapping and body moving. Paul Prios' Dub version brings a rhythm that is sure to mesmerize and entrance the listener. Finally, River 44's Minimalistic Techno takes the track to a darker and more brooding place.

Bio:

Making a name for himself as one of the most exciting talents out of Asia in recent times, Aman Anand switches between the dual roles of being a DJ and producer with ease and finesse. Spending his time in between India and Singapore, Aman’s productions blur the line between electronica, progressive house and melodic techno, cleverly marrying these different sounds together in the unique way that is his. His releases have seen support from international heavyweights such as Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Secret Cinema and more. The self-taught mechanics of dance music for this young musician has started to translate itself into global releases, with his EPs being released by reputable record labels such as progressive house legend Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat, Balkan Connection, Juicebox Music and Movement Recordings to name a few. Aman has been billed in clubs such as Headquarters, Tuff Club, Kilo Lounge, Cato in Singapore, and Humming Tree, Pebbles, blueFROG in India.

Tash's Movement Recordings celebrates their 200th release by welcoming Rafa'EL back to the label for a new EP. The Polish artist first appeared on the Greek imprint in September of 2016 with the 'Fields of Hope' EP. Written in conjunction with Northern Lights boss K Nass, it made for a stellar label debut. Also owning releases on Balkan Connection, Beatfreak, ICONYC, Soundteller and Stellar Fountain, Rafa'EL now lands back on Movement with 'Misconception' alongside remixes from Paul Angelo and Don Argento and Sean and Dee. Beginning with the title track Rafa'EL explores the deeper spectrum of progressive minded house. Its warm, spacious groove is perfectly contoured, adorned with tasteful arps, finely tuned percussion and timely effects. Stripping down into the main break, icy overlays heighten anticipation before a cavernous reservoir adds just the right amount of tension as a smooth finale ensues. The companion piece 'All I Could Think' continues the deep yet trippy ethos set by its predecessor. Mysterious and mystical from the outset, the piece flows through astral designs, melodic fragments and gaseous atmospheres across the first act. The narrative shifts into more emotive territory moving into the break, with a gorgeous tonal theme taking centrestage, before effortlessly shifting energy into a glowing final act. The first interpretation of 'Misconception' is provided by Movement artists Paul Angelo and Don Argento. Hailing from Cyprus, the much-loved duo has become a core part of the Greek imprint since making their debut in 2017 with a contribution to the label's 'Technical Progress' Vol. 7 collection. Paul and Don have since gone on to appear an additional six times while also finding a home on Beat Boutique, Dopamine Music, Sound Avenue and Soundteller Records. Now following their well received 'Dear Cave' EP, the duo lands back on Movement with a stunning remix of 'Misconception'. Dark and driving, the groove commands a large presence as electric rhythms and astral artifacts adorn the framework. Evolving with a veteran's savvy, timely drops and percussive flurries provide dynamic moments leading into the second act. Icy drifts highlight the main break, delivering palpable tension before melting down to a wonky fill and ultimately a powerful drop. The second and final interpretation of 'Misconception' is provided by Sean and Dee who return to the label for their third appearance. The Italian duo first appeared on the Greek imprint in January of 2019 with a remix of 'Resurrection' by V-Cious and Trapped In Time before kicking off 2020 with their highly touted 'Phoenix' EP. Also laying claim to releases on BeatFreak Recordings, ICONYC, Outta Limits and UV, Sean and Dee now land back on Movement with a powerful rendition of 'Misconception'. Remarkably fluid and undeniably modern, it's a mix that stays true to the delicate themes from the original, while adding an underlying tension through crisp design and electric rhythms. Airy atmospheres rise as the first act strips down into the centrepiece, perfectly setting up an emotive interlude and dramatic bridge into an exhilarating conclusion. A powerful remix from Sean and Dee, rounding out what is a monumental 200th release for Movement Recordings.
