Her name pays obviously homage to the legendary Hip Hop group A Tribe Called Quest, the sound B grew up on. From Future Beats, to Hip Hop, to Edits and everything in between, B has the vibe to set it off at any event she plays at.

Closing out Dilla Month with J Dilla & Beyond – a tribute set to one of Hip Hop's greatest, J Dilla 🤎 - this was also my debut set for London-based platform Just Vibez. This 45-minute mix was all about Dilla’s sound, his deep cuts, and the artists he inspired, bridging the past and the future in one set.

With just 45 minutes to make it special, I packed in as much as I could—but there’s so much more I could play. If you want a Part 2, let me know in the comments.... 

This set first dropped on February 7th (Dilla’s birthday!) at Just Vibez, one of London’s top hip-hop events. Sharing the lineup with Mr Thing, Shortee Blitz & Leon AhSht, playing in front of industry heads like Doc Brown and Denzel Himself, and having my Dad front row vibing to the music I grew up on—it was a night to remember for sure... also my first time scratching (just learning!) outside, so couple areas I'm not 100% with, but we learn and grow LOL 🙏🏾.

Dilla’s influence isn’t just about looking back; it’s about pushing forward. His swing, soul, and ear for sound still shapes music today, and this mix reflects that evolution - hope you appreciate the vibe 🤎
