Summer 2014 brings the heat in more ways than one with the second single from Juvenile’s first lady, Avii.

‘Shoot You Down’ is a refreshing tune that pulls melodic influences from the 60’s, combined with modernised drums and synths. 

It's lyrics take a lighthearted approach on a common social situation between the opposite sex. 

The track also features Australian based singer/songwriter, Kennyon Brown. A definite star on the rise and a name to look out for in future.

As the seasons change and we've long said "good bye" to the Summer. I've conjured up what I could musically (with the help of #MoMusiq) to create a record that would mesh well with the Autumn time. Not sure how well I've done, but I hope you enjoy the record nonetheless. Ideally, I want my music to speak to you, spark up GOOD feelings, memories & thoughts. If it hasn't or doesn't, then I've failed completely as an artist.

"In The Morning" is a song that simply speaks on the heartbroken. Love ain't always the sweetest thing. When it gets bitter and falls apart, it could leave one lost and confused- many times depressed. I know this, but don't ask me how- I just know haha. Anyway, in this story of a woman in heartache, a friend reaches out to help her through. Relatable or not, you'll know exactly what this record is about.

¡Hola, como estas! haha I know, I know- it's definitely been some time since my last release, but this should let you know I haven't forgotten about YOU, and that I appreciate your patience. FOREAL.

I typically do NOT unofficially remix another artists' work (let alone remix another remix) unless I'm feelin' it THAT much- but in this case, the vibe was right and I really enjoyed Eric Bellinger's rendition, as well as the original record by Kent Jones. I honestly could not help but put everything else aside to create this. Another BIG reason for the remix (to the remix) is to showcase my ability to hang with a Top 40 songwriter- who is Eric Bellinger, and also a Top 40 artist such as Kent Jones; All while representing where I'm from #UTAH, which is who I dedicate this T-MiX to. All my #UTAHANS.

I'm very proud of where I reside as it is a big part of who I am as an artist. And I don't take pride in that just because I was raised here, but because it's also the most UNLIKELY of places for someone like me, a Hip-Hop/R&B songwriter and first generation #Polynesian-American, to be successful in the music industry. 

Anyway, the last time I did something like this was with Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce", and that record came out nearly 2 years ago! 2016 has been a much slower year for me, but the plan is to turn that around starting with this record. South African born Songbird Avii can only be described as eclectic. Her sultry and elegant voice gives her music a soulful and sophisticated sound. This petite songstress with a larger than life personality and fiery image brings a whole new level to alternative music.

Avii’s passion for music and live performance began at the age of 5. Although she enjoys the alternative genre, she has an exceptional natural, raw talent for a wide range of genres making her sound unique and alluring.

Following her dream of being a live performer, Avii sang at local open mic nights drawing audiences and followers from all walks of life. It was at one of these performances that producer and singer/songwriter Donell Lewis discovered her. Lewis recognized the power of Avii's sultry sound and soon became her mentor.

A few months down the line, Avii is signed by ‘Juvenile’ music and on her way to achieving big things.
