Welcome to the world of Avin-u....

Avin-u is a collaboration of two two of Swindon's finest DJ/Producers Andy King and Colin Green.

From the age of 11, Andy King has been an electronic music addict. Making sure he could always get his fix he spent many a night staying up (or waking up, on less hectic weekends) for the legendary Radio 1 Essential Mixes, taking the vast array of influences that would come to influence his own style.

Self-taught, he initially developed his skills as a DJ - managing the impressive feat of playing in his local town of Swindon by the age of 16. By the time he was 19, Andy had already played alongside a handful of Top A-List International DJs at the infamous and much-missed Brunel Rooms - including Judge Jules, Anne Savage, Fergie, Matt Hardwick and Shan - aiming not to be pigeon holed in one particular style or genre.

For the last 6 years his main focus has been on producing high quality productions and remixes to let loose on the outside world. Ranging across the whole spectrum of BPMs, Andy has created an army of awesome tunes that showcase his ability to turn his hand to any style, in fact asking him what kind of music he plays is likely to bring on a confused expression and a long silence before he gets the next pint in.

His first remix (Triple Seven's May The Grace) made it onto the original White label release, helping sell over 1,000 copies worldwide and receiving plays for Phil Reynolds (Frantic).

Having paid his dues by the computer, Andy has returned to regular gigging around the UK. As well as being part of the killer Technobate crew who are taking the South by storm, Andy is a regular at Swindon�s renowned Suju club playing a wide variety of tunes and throwing out sets in excess of 4 hours. With his love of Djing firmly reestablished prepare to see a lot more of Andy King in 2011!

Colin Green has been a houshold name on the music scene in swindon for many years. He is well established in the bars and club's of Swindon. Colin started mixing at a ripe old age of 14. Homing his skills in the humble surroundings of his bedroom he quickly discovered a real drive and passion for all things music related. 

His first break came cutiousy of the braodwalk where he played a regular thursday night house show playing along side the very talented percussionist Nick Fisher. 

Things went from strength to strength from there and he has never looked back. Playing at Bars and Clubs such as The Litten Tree (Swindon & Reading), Po na na (Chletenham) House works (Taunton), Apartments (Swindon), Brunel Rooms (Swindon), Studio (Swindon), Bar Mango (Reading), Air (Birmingham) and most recently SUJU (Swindon). The Dj Chief has played at major events in swindon such as Fierce Angel, Love love & Roc Da House. 

Having played alongside some the industries finest DJS such as Mark Doyle, Thomas Gold, KIm FAi, Chris Lake, Stonebridge, Mason, Norman Jay +many more COlin has a real drive for all things house and tearing up the dance floor. 

With all things music in his blood COlin has now turned to music production and alongside Andy king is looking forward to a fruitful 2011 and a big year in 2012 releasing tracks and smashing up dance floors.
