This set is all about the reminder that WE ARE ALIVE, and have full privilege to feel, shout, express, dance, stomp, clap, and pound our way through every aspect in our lives. This unique curation encompassing playful party tracks, deep & organic house, as well as gorgeous velvety world feels, is directly inspired by my long awaited first visit to Black Rock City in 2024. Deeply moved by what I experienced as radical expression, creativity, and unity.... I remain astounded and inspired by what humans can do and be when given a blank canvas to create their life script, without the typical bounds in place. When the "default" barriers are removed.... SO MUCH MORE becomes possible. Individual and collective intention is powerful 🙌 My hope is that this soundscape stirs your soul and shakes you from your "default" barriers.

Who knew I'd ever play an (almost) entire set of bass music?!? 
You might know that I am an old raver who fell deeply in love with house music in my early adulthood. But what you may not know is, bass music was not a thing yet. There was drum and bass, and jungle - but bass hadn't been born. (Gives away my age!!)
I then left my raving to grow a family, and didn't really keep a pulse on how the music was morphing over the years, until I came back to actively dancing and consuming current EDM, meanwhile also beginning my DJing career around 4 years ago. Upon my return, I found that I had an entire genre to catch up on. 
Thanks to exposure from my amazing partner https://soundcloud.com/eudamonik and some inspiration from talented DJ mentors in my community (https://soundcloud.com/hajiji, https://soundcloud.com/franky-helix, https://soundcloud.com/tarek-jarmakani-50330501) I have finally come to find my personal connection to the genre. Being invited to play a downtempo set by https://soundcloud.com/djpresencia, I am really grateful for the opportunity to take this STRETCH to stay under 110 bpms and discover a way to to express myself in this bassy underworld... and here is the result!
This set was a tender one to output, mirroring my deeply internal healing process as of late, and also one of the most technically challenging sets I've taken on. It was a mighty stretch in ALL the ways, and I am really proud of my new growth.

This set weaves seamlessly through house, bass house, drum & bass, and bass - capturing a mystical, high energy feel.
