Interest in the Eurovision Song Contest is something I remember having to hide when I was younger. Over the years, my love for this event has waned, and I've drifted away from it.

The process of creating music evokes in me many things from childhood, and naturally, I also came back a little bit to mess with this competition...

DJ Carlos Nascimento hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He’s been a denizen in New York City clubs and lounges for over ten years.

Carlos was awed by the musical soundscapes on Saturday nights at New York’s legendary Roxy while listening to DJ’s Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhoffer, Junior Vasquez, Manny Lehman to name a few. 
His early achievements brought him to spin at the Media Awards at the Hammerstein Ballroom. For the past three years, Carlos has been the DJ for The Miracle House Summer Kick Off Party.

You may have heard his beats in New York French Connections Stores where he was the official DJ in residence. At G Lounge in Chelsea he is a regular guest DJ once a month.
Also 2010 he was honor to be part of the Destination Party at Pacha on Gay Pride NYC together with Tony Moran, Susan Morabito, Manny Lehman & Sean McMahon.
Played at Gay Days 2012 Orlando at the Main Pool Party.

They say music is what feelings sound like, and that is a huge part of how I approach music production. You know that feeling, when all of a sudden you get goosebumps from a song? That's what I love most and what motivates me. I want to create moments like that. Moments that put a huge smile on your face, create a feeling of real joy and reaffirm your appreciation of music, dance and life!

I was born and raised in a small city in the South of Israel. When I reached adulthood, I moved up to the proverbial "big city" of Tel Aviv, which arguably has one of the world's most vibrant music scenes. I get inspired everyday by its soundtracks and use that inspiration in my music production, whether an original production or a new version of an existing song that I love.

As much as I'd prefer to not label my music, you could call it vocal/house/techno - either way, I hope you experience those goosebumps, that would make me the happiest :) Enjoy!
