Francesco Farfa has got his groove back, leading to Danza Tribale number 10. In recent times, the Italian DJ has found himself re-energised once again, back in love with electronic music and right back at the sharp end of the underground scene. A true digger and sound obsessive, Farfa comes armed with decades of experience and musical appreciation, but now with a fresh perspective that means he is once again doing what he does best: turning musical emotions and compelling rhythms into dance floor art.

Reminiscences Nottetempo represents the soul of a dreamer, who often collides with his memories hidden in the fog: basically what they are.
"I have been living the night for many years and not only because of my passion for clubbing, but also because I am a wandering insomniac. 
In the nocturnal phase, when awake, this fog clears up and suggests thoughts that, digging into the maze of memory, bring you solutions that fill latent gaps"
'Il Bosco Delle lucciole' is a vision of dark energy illuminated by living forms, electrons of which everything is composed, as well as the space in which we vibrate.
'Novanta' is pure reminiscence, an abstract flashback to the origins of a movement that is consolidated as a "unique" phenomenon of the 20th century.
It is a song that smells of that memorable era which, fortunately, is positively influencing the new generations.

This EP brings me back to the studio after a long time, for the first time as an independent producer, starting a new path, hoping to be worthy for the continuation.

Mathias Kaden is back on Rekids after 2022’s ‘Blackbird’ EP, this time with the four-track ‘Circulate’ EP featuring a remix from the hotly tipped William Kiss. Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ kicks things off with stripped-back machine rhythm, tasteful stab melodies and a deeply satisfying low-end groove before an iconic gospel vocal joins in. Title track ‘Circulate’ is another infectious low-slung crawler with crunchy synth hits and a hypnotic and classy vibe that will get the dancefloor moving.

On the flip, William Kiss remixes Mathias Kaden’s ‘Freedom’ following his recent EP on Rekids' sibling label RSPX and the release of his collaborative project, Not Without Friends, with Luke Alessi and Jordan Brando on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s Rose Avenue. Kiss turns the track into a pumping peak-time cut with additional percussion and plenty of his signature Jackin’ flavour. Closing out the record, Kaden’s ‘Twisting Shadows’ introduces an acidic bassline and warped, dubbed-out vocals before dropping into an energetic trip.

Active since the mid-90s, Mathias Kaden appeared on Radio Slave’s Rekids for the first time in 2019 for ‘Liberate Drums’. He now returns to the label with the ‘Circulate’ EP, adding to his versatile discography on labels like Dyinamic and Vakantwhile also remixing work by Matthias Tanzmann, Onur Özer, Anja Schneider, and Trentemöller.

Seasoned remixer Matt Edwards, AKA Radio Slave, closes out his Rekids label’s 2024 with three reimaginations of some of the imprint’s biggest tracks of the year, extending the runtime of all versions beyond the ten-minute mark for wonderfully expansive journeys reminiscent of Edwards’ early dub days.

“Sometimes, you just need to scratch that itch, and I’ve wanted to add my twist to these tracks for quite some time. I am revisiting a period of my productions where I just let things flow. No frills, deep, bumping, hypnotic grooves; I really enjoyed doing these remixes. It’s a great way to finish an incredible year for the label and a shape of things to come in 2025.” - Radio Slave

Moodena & Charles Levine’s ‘Badman’ is up first, with Radio Slave stripping it of its larger-than-life classic House sounds and turning it into a low-slung hypnotic ‘T ell Me Something’ dub. He reworks Man Power & Louisahhh’s ‘We Trawl The Hurts’ next, an introspective trip with daydream piano keys and an irresistible organic groove. Finally, Rekids favourite Hilit Kolet and her ‘Snap T alk’ face Edwards’ deep, chord-infused drums, welded seamless and smooth with Kameelah Waheed’s iconic vocal from the original.

Legendary House don Harry Romero joins Rekids for the first time with the ‘Nice To Meet You’ EP comprising two massive tracks with classic NY House DNA with the sort of modern twist Romero’s become synonymous with throughout his two-decade-plus career. The Bambossa Records founder now lands on Radio Slave’s flagship label following an impressive 2024, which featured releases on Faith, Nu-Groove, Cécille Records, and Defected.

We have a similar approach to music in that we always blur the lines between Techno and House music. Fortunate to grow up around the rich club culture of NYC and influenced by the sounds around him, Avision now finds himself helping to usher in a new wave of techno for the New York scene.  His debut album In My Mind has been released on Maceo Plex’s Ellum Audio imprint, which DJ Mag UK has called “an impressive body of work stuffed full of melodic techno and maximal house”.

Anthony Cardinale aka Avision started young on the turntables at the age of 12,  gained his first residency at 15, and hasn’t looked back since.  Recent touring highlights include gigs at The Brooklyn Mirage & Time Warp in NYC, Off Sonar in Barcelona, EDC Las Vegas, Space Miami, Watergate Berlin and Stereo Montreal.

Around the same time as his DJ career started, he began to hone his production skills in the studio, and has developed a distinctly New York-flavored techno sound that he’s now bringing to the world.  Over the last number of years, he’s had releases on a range of influential labels across the spectrum of techno; from Ellum and Drumcode, to Hardgroove and Truncate to name a few. 

Avision has also recently started the Ground Rule Collective, an outlet which brings together all of the different aspects of his creative passions: music,  events, clothing, art, and food - all driven by New York influence. The events portion of Ground Rule has launched with a recurring series of events in New York at Superior Ingredients (formerly Output), and the first clothing line drop followed shortly after.  The philosophy of Ground Rule will mirror the development of Anthony as Avision, “staying true to the music, the art form and myself is something I always want to push forward.”
