Sometimes we stumble upon UFOs, sets that are so particular, they will make your most musically experimental friends blush. Sancho Meiso Chaya's set, soberly titled Tsunami, is one of them 👽
Between ambient dark, breakbeat, tribal percussions, old school techno and funk interludes, we find here all the elements of a rich composition, as if it has been decomposed to juxtapose the tracks, in the way of eating a burger each ingredient at a time. 
Real definition of hybrid, these 86 minutes are an ode to contemplation and to the state of trance that can be the result of a deep and driving musical experience. The surprises and turns are legion and the wonder garanties 😉

Depuis huit ans, Loya explore l’intimité musicale des îles sœurs de l’Océan Indien, contribuant à dissiper de manière singulière les frontières entre musique électronique et musiques traditionnelles à l’heure de la globalisation.

D’une enfance modeste immergée dans la grande marmite culturelle de la Réunion, Loya tire une curiosité insatiable et l’humilité de l’artisan, prompt à puiser dans les matériaux rugueux de son île natale pour faire émerger une myriade de sons. Ainsi la tôle ondulée, le bois de tamarin se joignent-ils aux aléas tumultueux des machines et de leurs algorithmes, legs de ses vingt et quelques années de vie en métropole.
 
Au fil de ses voyages de recherche dans l’Océan indien, Madagascar, l’île Maurice, Mayotte et l’Afrique du Sud, ses machines se laissent apprivoiser et parviennent enfin à convoquer ces états de transe si chers à ce natif des Mascareignes dont le cœur bat un rythme ternaire.
