After 32 beautiful stories through the years, our podcast channel is coming to an end this month! We want to thank all the artists that have shared music with us, listeners and dedicated followers. We are opening our live mixes series with journeys recorded live from our affiliate artists and friends from January 2024 on. 

As a perfect transition, our long time friend, Sonhan - co-founder of Metropolis event series in Brussels has gifted us with a very special recording of his opening session at the last Metropolis edition, right before Konduku and lunar convoy.

Housed within a vast concrete and marble hall with soaring 3-meter-high ceilings, located two levels below the former Federal Bank of Belgium, the space boasted a bunker-style aesthetic. The focus of this gathering was on creating an immersive experience that felt sealed off from the outside world.

As the session starts, the set evokes sensations of activating an ancient and mysterious machinery, its true technological nature shrouded in secrecy.

The narrative unfolds gradually, beginning with an intimate and emotionally charged atmosphere and then transites into an eerie and dissociative paths, setting the stage for the captivating and mind-altering experience that awaited the assembled crowd.

Music For Whales - Boards Of Canada

After Markus Guentner and Joachim Spieth's first joint album, "Overlay", was released last October, there is now a 10" lathe cut limited to thirty pieces, which will be released on February 2nd.

"Overlay Variations" uses elements that were taken exclusively from the album and puts them together to create completely new pieces of music. The recording is delivered with a print that shows the front of the cover and is hand-numbered on the back.

Furthermore, this 10" represents the start of a series that will be completed by the end of the year...

Another birthday and another 3 room mega rave at Corsica. This was the 2nd PBT party with our BleeD and Them cohorts and the line-up as per didn't disappoint.

Label boss of Semantica Records Enrique Mena headlined the BleeD room under his Svreca guise and laid down a 2.5hr masterclass of a techno set. 

We were lucky to have Enrique play in the Plex room 2 years previously so it was a pleasure to welcome him back to London again, this time playing in the 2nd room on the recently overhauled and upgraded Corsica Funktion One. 

It's a super trippy hypnotic workout taking in many tracks from his label and beyond. Enjoy.

Had to put another one up from this party as it's equally as good as the Stingray set but for obviously very different reasons.

I don't think Answer Code Request had played in London prior to this party but already had a residency at Berghain and a number of releases on Dettman's MDR and his own self entitled label as well as an excellent LP on Osgut Ton so was more than on the rise at this point.

It's another hypnotically driven techno set but really unique to what was being heard around the time, Patrick definitely had his own carefully curated sound and the Corsica crowd lapped it up during his headline set on the night.

Wouldn't be right as we approach the 30 mark to not have a bit of braindance from our 2nd birthday party with the mighty Rephlex Records and who better for that to be than the ever prolific Aleksi Perälä. I had the pleasure of getting blind drunk on Koskenkorva with Aleksi the night before in my flat in Hackney where he was staying, the guy is such a funny and quality dude but the hangover was savage ngl.

Despite the 'will he, won't he?' online speculation of whether afx was playing or not (the line-up remained secret until the day) this was another wicked party with 7 live sets in the main room along with a DJ Rephlex Records DJ set. A logistical nightmare to execute but well worth it! Hopefully more of these sets will appear in the future within this archive.
