gaster's theme expanded [undertale]

A remix of the rather...minimalistic theme of W.D. Gaster, turned into a hypothetical battle theme for the guy.  Had lots of fun with this one, and hopefully I managed to capture this guy's spooky, freaky essence with the theme.

So sorry(hehehe) for the long wait! You'll have to excuse my absence, but I've recently been busy working on THREE different collab remixes, so I haven't been able to dedicate a lot of time to my own stuff. Hope you look forward to those! In the meantime, I'll hold you over with the last Undertale remix I plan to do for a while, the theme of the mysterious W.D. Gaster! Hope you guys enjoy!

I heard you all were waiting for this remix, so here you go! *flings breadsticks at you from across the table* Gaster's theme was literally an 8 measure long repeating piano melody, so there was a lot of room for creativity. There was also the problem of, "How do I turn a 15 second theme into a 4 minute remix," but here it is. It's magic, I tell you OvO

[Undertale Remix] SharaX - Dark Darker Yet Darker

Most of the W.D. Gaster remixes I find around the internet have either sort of tragically heroic vibe or are creepy and ominous (presumably meant to set the tone for fighting him during a No Mercy and Pacifist playthrough, respectively). I always thought that since he's scattered across space and time or whatever, he'd be present in all possible timelines, and thus the fight would incorporate elements from both ends of the spectrum. This is my attempt (and kind of horrible failure) to combine both the creepy and heroic interpretations of Gaster's character. 

For those curious, cacodemonomania is the belief that one is possessed by some sort of demon or other malevolent spirit. Thanks, Wikipedia!

This song incorporates elements of Gaster's theme, Core, and a little Megalovania, since leitmotifs are very much a thing in the original soundtrack. 

Speaking of the original soundtrack, Undertale and all its music and characters (including the aforementioned tracks and characters) belong to Toby Fox, I mean no legal harm, etc, etc. I did make the image though c:
