This is a song I originally wrote right before one of my previous bands broke up. We never got to finish recording/releasing it, so I decided to just record it myself.

This is my first completely self produced track, so while it's far from perfect I'm pretty happy with the end result.

Immolation

This is my first ever solo release with vocals, and it’s probably the most personal track I’ve made in a long time.

Fading In Entropy explores creative burnout—the slow fade of inspiration and the struggle to create again. I've made many attempts to return to making music since leaving the stage over 10 years ago, and only recently found the drive to really push at releasing material again.

Lyrics:
Is this the best that I'm able to give?
Doses of fractured time
Metered and resistive
Casting my truest self into a formless void
The brightest fragments of my soul are gradually denied

With apathy rising within me
Fading passions stagnate in entropy
A swirling vortex of dissonance
Threatens to swallow whole my only view of the firmament

A slow death
Yet somehow imminent
Everpresent

Have I already made my greatest waves across the arc of time?
Do they pale in the face of how I've changed?
A countenance redefined

So done with living this emptiness
Something just needs to be different
Dead tired of piling up on regrets
Who cares if the world ever listens?

Fading In Entropy

This is a song I wrote for a buddy of mine's recording project in grad school. He knew I used to perform acoustic stuff in college, and asked me to workshop something.

This song is the final thoughts of a man on death row, pleading forgiveness from those most important to him before he dies.

 I played almost everything live: guitars, bass, drums, vocals. Piano and synth parts are performed by Adam York.
