Fake Mood is music production duo from St. Petersburg, Russia. Viktor Petrov & Dmitry Kokhan united in 2015 to create their very own sound on a contemporary dance music scene.

MkO Live at Before After [DHLA - LS - 003]

Here is a 100% improvised b2b set we played on a Saturday. We weren't gonna record it, but we started playing some slow/intro tunes first and we liked how it was going, so the following 3 hours is what came next.

Beautiful melodic sounds, some lovely gems... perfect for a sunny afternoon. Amazing weather, some friends, food & beers :)

I do have to say, I'm not a big fan of listening to live sets here in SC... I've always preferred recorded podcasts, but this b2b ended up being something beautiful. Some mixing details here and there, but overall we're happy with the selection and the outcome.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Podcast Series!

On this week's editions we welcome Bachir Salloum.

Raised on Beirut’s infamous club scene, Bachir is a rising Middle East talent thanks to his uplifting mellifluous sets and deep, emotional productions that have been picked up and played by none other than Hernan Cattaneo. Inspired by his older brother who was a hip-hop and R&B DJ, Bachir started exploring electronic music aged 16 and was captivated by Beirut's diverse music scene.

That diversity has continued into his sets, as he creates moving shows that balance dark and light, blending progressive house, deep house and shades of tech house to build memorable sessions that live long in the memory. Based in Dubai since 2014, he’s played alongside several A-list DJs including Nick Warren, Sasha and Hernan Cattaneo, who was one of the first to pick up on his promising productions. Signed to Genesis and Plattenbank Records, his dream-like house and progressive productions have quickly picked up a strong following, with further releases to come in 2017 including a collaboration with fellow Middle East producer Zone+. With more local and international gigs confirmed for the end of 2017 and beyond, Bachir is set to be one of the stars of the Middle East scene and beyond.

It was April, almost exactly one year ago, that the great Timujin entered our Gardens. 

There are not many people in the world that take such presence, as a person or as a performer. Caught by surprise, we fell silent when we were greetly warmly by his being. 

It was a phenomenal performance. Welcomed by the crowd of The Gardens, we worked on a new date for almost a year. 

To celebrate not one but two shows in the near future, April 21 in Istanbul and July 27-29 at The Monastery festival in Germany, we release a very special podcast today.

It all began right there on the playa, six years ago under the rays of the morning sun, immersed in the magic of the beautiful Robot Heart sound stage.  A community so powerful and strong, it has become the biggest inspiration for my own musical journey. The people I met, the music I heard and the feelings I had that first night have left a lasting impression and inspired me to learn a new skill and start playing and producing music.

In the modern world, traveling around the world, making countless acquaintances we get lost in this endless whirlpool of activity. We start seeking a sense of belonging, experiences that unite us and inspire to create. This is what Robot Heart does for many of us, whether you come here to dance, play or connect. 

My own experience led me to start experimenting with sound and styles, curating artists that would join us on the playa for a week and become family for life.  We grew into a amazing community, which we call White Ocean, united by our love and passion for creativity and exploration. There is nothing more inspiring for me at the moment than seeing how music can improve our lives and open our minds to new adventures and experiences. It did it for me......

It has been the greatest honor to come back to where it all started and play my set for Robot Heart's 10 year anniversary on the playa. I wish your journey to continue for my years to come:)

This week we present a truly special artist and friend from Ottawa: Sergio Pari (@sergiopari).

He has been knee deep in the scene for many many years, mastering his craft and working on his productions. His latest EP "Mistero" was released on Dream Culture (@dreamcultureofficial)April 18th.

Filled with mysterious harmonies, this EP is a driving force of melodic groove. He's crafted a beautiful and groovy set for us today, in hopes that our ears can be tantalized once again!
