Since Richie Hawtin played this track in his Boiler Room Set on Ibiza, many people have been asking about this Joyce Muniz collab. The track features fresh vocals by Bam (formerly known as MC Baby Bam) from the legendary 90ies hip-hop group The Jungle Bothers (Native Tongues/Zulu Nation). The beat is based around a sample from Kraftwerk's 'It's More Fun To Compute,' and for this version we've actually got full approval from Kraftwerk (yes - guess what). So we're happy to release it now. Hope you dig it too.

Seth Troxler’s agenda setting Play It Say It label is back with another massive release, this time coming from a group of Detroit heavyweights. Featuring a lead track from Andy Toth & Billy Love, it is packed with essential remixes from Chuck Daniels, Andrés & Midnite Jackers.

Andy Toth was part of Detroit Grand Pubahs and Billy Love is a singer from Detroit who added vocals to seminal tracks by Underground Resistance. Together they have help their city’s electronic music earn its enviable reputation on the world stage, and here Billy tells a story informed by his time as a male revue dancer at a legendary strip club called Watts Club Mozambique.

The standout original here, which had a low-key release a few years ago, ’Thrillseekers,’ is an off-beat house number with fresh synth stabs and popping drums that come with steamy vocals. It’s future facing and soul infused and is the sort of characterful cut that will mark the highlight of any set.

Up first with the remixes, Sample Recordings main man Chuck Daniels shows off his Detroit credentials with a driving and late night, smooth and seductive take that is filled with warm machine soul. Pre-release this classic Detroit groove has been getting lots of support from Eats Everything, Riva Star and Seth Troxler.

The second sizzling remix comes from Detroit’s Andrés, a key artist on Moodymann’s Mahogany label who has put out three seminal albums as well as many killer jams on his own La Vida. His hip hop indebted style is here in all its glory once more, with loose and rough drums jammed out on an MPC and interwoven with gorgeous jazz chords and a noodling bassline.

Already released and doing lots of damage on worldwide dance floors, the Midnite Jackers remix is nearly eight minutes of rough and ready, attitude riddled house with fat bass, rude vocals and a wonky feel that will add plenty of freakiness to any party. This is a Detroit heavy single featuring some of the Motor City’s finest talents, and is set to be one of the big record of the summer without a doubt.

It’s almost Christmas time and here, at elrow Music, we want to start the celebration with a big comeback to our releases ranks. Label boss and tech-house honcho De La Swing is back with a three tracker EP of two originals and one high rolling remix, by the one and only Mathias Kaden. ‘Everyday EP’ opens up with the title track, ‘Everyday (Original Mix)’, a track with a steady but soft percussion, a hip-hopish vocal line that sings about love, and a nice 90’s infused melody by the middle of the track, with an overall vibe that everyone associates with elrow and its parties. Then we have ‘Creeper (Original Mix)’, that opens with a swifter percussion and starts in full energy thanks to that exotic vocal line we hear in the back of the track. With FX coming and going, the synth treatment De La Swing uses is just mind-blowing and will make the crowd lose it in the middle of the dancefloor, making this carnivalesque track perfect for the busiest times in the dancefloor. Finally, closing the EP, we have Mathias Kaden’s remix of De La Swing’s ‘Everyday (Mathias Kaden’s Repitch Remix)’, in which the German producer twist the original track with a steadier and faster vibe, a bit harder, also distorting and playing with the vocal line and keeping the melodies, making it a more playful tune and fitter for peak times in the floor. Resuming, one huge delivery by the label boss De La Swing, that showcases his great moment, and an amazing re-interpretation by Kaden, who has perfectly understood what elrow Music’s line is all about.
