HITOBASHIRA-NI - 1. Kyōjin-gyo chiryō

This track started as an experiment with reverb and repetition, with the lyrics a riff on Adrienne Rich's love poetry, exploring how external forces can bend and distort our love for another.

"The Lost Letters" are musician Ben J Heal and Taiwanese singer Fulya, who together started experimenting with lo-fi dream-pop music in 2023. The self-titled album, coming soon on Coju Recordings, comments on originality and authenticity by cutting up literary sources and blending analog and digital recordings. Ben's been a member of art-rock stalwarts "birdbath since 1994, and his "cowman" noise-rock project has released several albums on Ingue Records. His other projects include 2014’s cacophony of synth and gong "Hitobashira-ni". and 2016’s drony acid-folk experiment as "morimori". The "Coaxial" project further explores drone, plagiarism and electronica. All available on tape or DL via Bandcamp.

These works are recorded in Jinan, China during 2015's summer. Due to time constraints and a variety of important matters, the post-processing has repeatedly delayed. Until today, we decided to put them out. We have listened these tracks so many times that we have puked for several weeks. But in any case, personally, these music had undeniable significance to me.
