Usually Awkwardly Social heads CHENG NWSH and DJ Carlita invite aspiring artists to share their vision of music with them. Usually. This time the duo is invited to contribute and musically portray their approach in the art:cast series and do not expect less than a journey through genres via the unknown. In an vinyl-only back-to-back set the both boost the bpm from 120 to 175 without one even realizing as the Awkwardly Social founders skillfully know their crafts and how to let their audience experience different musical facets. Something that has been brought to the table by the launch of their label, Awkwardly Social, a couple of months back too. As of now with two catalogue numbers out, namely Lårry's EP Nines and Aroent's Eleese, the Berliners have already proven their magnficent selector skills in that field. However, Awkwardly Social has become a household name in the scene because of events at Zur Klappe, OHM or ://about blank over the last couple of years. But with clubs closed and their preference for faster music DJ Carlita and CHENG NWSH compiled and mixed a set that could've easily be the peak of one of their events when the party is in full swing, squiffy swinging through the night.

Eklektique – But You Have To Dance (Rambal Cochet's Alcohoid Mix) [SNIPPETS]

In the shadowed hills beyond the old monastery, where vines strangled pillars and silence lay thick as dust, there existed a forgotten garden — one not marked on any map. They called it the Garden of Stone and Scale.

Nobody knew who built it. Local legend claimed it had once been a sanctuary for ancient artists, or perhaps a temple to gods whose names had been eroded by time. But everyone agreed on two things: the statues were unlike anything else in the world, and the snakes were always watching.

Mr Ho is invited in to remix Adam Curtain on a new EP launched off the back of a new record label from the Love International crew. This one focusses on the slightly darker, moodier undertones of club culture.

Oscillating between light and dark, between the groovy and heavy – don’t be surprised when this artist takes highly detailed downtempo to soaring bass and furious footwork.

Pyatigorsk-born dynamo b0n dishing out some naughty breaks on X-Kalay sub-label, Another Place.

Four distinct traxxx going from full-blown seismic tremors to lithe, dreamier fare. A love letter to the halcyon days of ‘90s hardcore, perhaps?

Synths darting (just how we like ‘em), ragga vocal samples enhancing that UK kinda feel. First track sounds a bit like something you might have heard in some disused airplane hangar circa ’92.

Kicking off with a trio of straight-to-the-point accelerators and closing on some lush, levitational gear. Hi-octane rave utopia or blistering ride into oblivion? You decide.

He said not to mess with his breaks. Nuff said really.

Once again we met in Brandenburg for a legendary weekend of music, sunshine and friends. What you are listening to is the closing set of Saturday night / Sunday morning. We are starting with Dj Carlita who joined Moritz Rudolf after his set. Then, there is a two hour break in between due to empty batteries, but we are returning with DJ B and are greeting the new day with a complete B2B2B. We definitely need to thank the Berstival crew for this fantastic festival and unforgettable weekend!
