I wanted to write something thats a general feeling of how things are at the moment, everything in world seems to be in a mess with no light at the end of the tunnel, it's easy to lose yourself, sometimes you don't feel strong enough when the world or people kick you down, you just gotta come back fighting and set your your path straight no matter how off course its become.

My names Jay, I'm a songwriter, ideas man from Cambridgeshire in the UK , I'd like to write for other people or an Artist with a shared vision, the dream would be that i guess.
Awkward Fellow is a Hip-Hop, Pop, Jazz, R'n'B, lo-fi fusion with an Oldschool vibe.. I've started writing for an up and coming album "The Cost Of Living" (Well at the moment it's gonna be called that)seems to be the vibe of the times, No fillers hopefully.

Influences: Sault, Massive Attack, Prince, De la sol, Little Sims, Portishead, Avalanches, Beastie Boys. in terms of my own music but i listen to a lot more.
