Jittering layers of bass, intricately intertwined endless loops of harmony, monumental drum rolls and drops that sent compelling power strikes across the dancefloor as if some kind of sonic lightning strikes. 

Add-us do their thing - that thing that made the duo from Stuttgart a sure-fire success: Melodic Techno of the highest order. The trancy synthesisers of 'Escape' provide exactly what this title stands for, namely an instant escape from the grey gravity of everyday life. The twilight atmosphere of this tune clearly aims at the most active hours of a party. So does 'Hurricane', yet another aptly named track. Or, rather: An aptly named sound vortex. The rotating energy of this tune draws us towards the climax of a party once again. However, here the vibe imitates the intangible, yet absolutely compelling energy of the element air.

Hitting the ground running at the start of 2024, Darin Epsilon's highly regarded label celebrates Volume 8 of its successful series "Perspectives Around the World".

Opening the 5 track tour across 5 continents, Bound (AUS) are a Melbourne-based duo who began their musical journey together in 2019.  Sharing a passion for Melodic Techno and Progressive House, a clutch of releases has quickly found success on the likes of Area Verde, UGENIUS, and Polyptych.  

Making their Perspectives Digital debut, "Awaken" is redolent in Bound's "deep driving basslines", as a chunky groove lays the foundation for an emotive lead line to make its presence felt, before a haunting vocal phrase is repeated in chanted pattern across the 6 minute piece.  Building through the breakdown to a rousing zenith, "Awaken" then drops back into its powerful rhythmic undertone.

There goes the second and final instalment of Hidden Empire's latest diptych release, 'Amount of Rate'. If the dystopian title-track 'Amount of Rate' lives up to the hype its title suggests, running the gamut from hi-velocity Italo drive to full-fledged electro techno on a mission, the further brooding 'Algorithmic Future' sets its sight on more intricate modular-like mind-games, showcasing the duo's implacable know-how when it comes to building darkness-clad peak-time weapons both openly aggressive and transporting to the full. Taking us on an even wilder ride into outer space, 'Hyperdrive' tops it all off on a sci-fi-friendly note, where the spaciousness of Hidden Empire's sound design and their unabashedly epic take concertina into a monster tsunami of sorts, set to blast its insane amounts of energy with full-force.
