Quickly following up the last, instant sell-out smash, Shir Khan's infamous "Black Jukebox" series hit us with the 12th edition. Introducing anonymous project Aussteiger who gets things bouncing with the Summer house monster, "Bangbao". Lush filter sweeps, twinkling keys and powerful bass are order of the day here as the producer works his magic on one of the sunniest grooves we've heard this year. "Return" keeps that outdoor terrace flavour but plunges us deep into the twilight, tribal drums and deep electronics locking us into its hypnotic recess. Martin Lewis contributes a seriously fun and summery version of "Now That We Found Love", utilizing glorious xylophones and horns throughout the melody and letting it roll out with aplomb. Finally, we get the cheeky "Do It" edit which combines hypnotic congas with funky guitar licks and a sun-burnt, Latin energy to create a sizzling brew of hot dancefloor energy. Great stuff! Early last year we played at the small but perfectly formed, Oma Doris club in Dortmund. 
One of the residents that night was a young DJ by the name of Mr Fries, who during the night handed us a CD of demos.

Immediately impressed with what we heard, the idea of an EP was formed. 
Nearly a year later we are proud to present the newest member of the pack!

First up on remix duties is Hodini whose recent EP on Max Graef and Glenn Astro, Money $ex Records has been on constant rotation since it's release.

Hodini is an alias of prolific German Hip-Hop producer, Hulk Hodn and a major influence on Mr Fries who has sighted he was one of reason he was one of the main reasons he started to make beats. 

To round of the EP we've enrolled long time friend Garth BE. The artist featured previously on WOLFEP003 back in 2009 with All The Thrills. Since then he has setup the fantastic Sweet Sticky Records, releasing two full length LPs to great acclaim.

London-based artist ABSOLUTE. debuts his single ‘Fairground’ via his own A. Player imprint. Out now.

The track was born out of sessions at London’s iconic Fortress Studios, also home to Jamie xx, Paranoid London and Bicep. It was mastered by veteran engineer Matt Colton (James Blake, Panda Bear, Caribou) and is already picking early support with tastemakers from DJ EZ to Horsemeat Disco.

With ‘Fairground’, ABSOLUTE. (always all caps, with a full stop) has crafted a bold, electrifying debut that envelops the listener in its cavernous atmospherics, with celestial synths and chopped, distant vocals heralding echoing horns and tribal percussion. It’s the sound of someone carving their own path, and marks ABSOLUTE. out as one of the UK’s most intriguing new producers. 

Elusive London DJ and producer KDA demanded to remix ‘Fairground’ on first listen, stepping up to deliver a pneumatic dub version that loses none of the original’s dark ambiance. The remix will be released in March 2016 and follows KDA’s own debut single ‘Rumble’ last year, which ultimately topped the UK singles chart with a reworked version featuring Katy B and Tinie Tempah. 

Having already appeared on line-ups alongside the likes of Claude VonStroke, Green Velvet, Derrick Carter, Julio Bashmore, Cyril Hahn, Gesaffelstein, 2 Bears, Greg Wilson, Justin Martin, Flashmob to name just a few, ABSOLUTE. is set to unveil a highly anticipated live show this Summer. Stay tuned.
