2 Down (Meditation Mix)

Konnakol is the latest immersion of Axel Thesleff’s world bass sound. Featuring the Indian rhythmic vocal percussion language, Konnakol is an amalgam of musical heritage, drawing inspiration from most of the Earth’s continents. The organic yet electronic production style of the song bridges the boundaries between the modern and the traditional. The beat of the song brings to mind rhythmic patterns that of Africa and South America while other sounds, such as the Banjo and a hybrid sound combining an Alpine Zither, African Karimba and a Burmese Gong contribute to the global sound of this song. The song unfolds in a way that continuously introduces something unexpected yet familiar to the listener. In the end, it culminates into an emotional climax, featuring a catchy flute melody and a throbbing baseline that take the listener into a state of meditative trance, enjoyment and peace of mind.
