here’s a pov for y’all ;) 

you wipe your hands on the hem of your dress to get rid of the slight sweat forming, your whole body a display of your nervous wreck. 

you search around the front door entrance for a turtle shaped pot. finally, you find it, turning it upside down to reveal a key sticking from the bottom, using it to unlock the door.

the loud boom and the strong bass of the music soon entrance you as you make your way to the living room, avoiding drunk idiots and annoying couples. 

as soon as you arrive to the “dance floor” your friend comes up to you, greeting you and offering you a drink. you hesitantly agree, not sure if you want to get hammered tonight, but as soon as the first drop of alcohol touches your lips, you immediately throw that idea out the window.

you start to ask for more drinks, your friends cheering you on and soon you feel your body heating up, and your confidence spiking off the charts. 

you start swaying to the music, letting yourself be engulfed by the exhilarating feeling of existing. 

as you dance to a song you really like, you feel someone’s stare drill into the back of your neck, you turn around and catch him staring at you, you stare back for a second and smile at him, going back to your business. 

he leaves his drink on the desk and makes his way to you taking your hand and spinning you around so that you’re facing him. 

“what are you doing?” he asks, his gaze fixated on your face.

“dancing, you should try it sometime, you’re at a party” you responded, giggling and stumbling slightly. 

“what are you wearing?” he asks, his body  inching closer to yours. 

“what’s wrong with what i am wearing?” you stop dancing and frown. you start rubbing your hands together and your arms, you had forgotten to bring a jacket, and it was november.

“you’ll catch a cold. come here,” he takes off his jacket and wraps it around your shoulders, taking your hand and dragging you out of the living room.

“hey! where are we going?” you yell , taken aback. when he didn’t respond, you decide it would be better to just follow his lead and go where he was taking you without any complaints. 

finally, you stop in the backyard, only a few teenagers making out in secluded corners and one or two who were passed out. 

“you really can’t hold your liquor. you put down your cup and still drank from it! what if a guy had put something in it?” he frantically asks you, shaking you slightly. he tucks in a lose strand of hair behind your ear. 

“i-i...” you were dumbfounded, “...did you just say i can’t hold my liquor?” you ask again, offended. 

“seriously? that’s what you’re worried about? let’s go, i’m taking you home,” he says, taking your hand once more.

“no, i’m staying,” you clap back, snatching your hand back. 

“don’t be like that, let’s go,” he says again, rolling his eyes.

“no.”

“just come,” he runs his fingers through his hair and sighs.

“make me,” you say, your stance defying.

his eyes darken and he walks up to you, both your chests heaving. his eyes never leave yours as his face inches closer to yours. 

“oh yeah?”

“oh yeah.”
