Revelation of Sound is pleased to present Axis Operandi. Leader of music platform and series of events - Biotechnology which is focused on promotion of psychedelic, cosmic, organic and hypnotic sounds in techno and broadly defined electronic music. Co-founder of the Densiflora platform, which promotes cross-genre electronica with dreamy, groovy sounds. His selection approach is best described by the projects he is behind. In his DJ and promoter activity he tries to convince his listeners that sets grown out of techno do not have to be mainly massive or mainly dark in their expression, that there is space for a whole range of emotions in the 4/4 area.

He performed at events signed by such brands as Up to date festival, Instytut, Revive or Las Festival. He shared the stage with such artists as eg. Edit Select, Steffi, Valentino Mora, Shlomo, AWB, Setaoc Mass, Svarog, VSK, Freddy K or Justine Perry.

Axis Operandi - DJ and promoter based in Warsaw. Co-creator of Biotechnologia - online platform and events series focused on psychedelic and tribal electronic music.

Since few years he is active on warsaw club scene as a Dj. Earlier under real name, since 2018, under the moniker Axis operandi (in latin it means "Axis of action). Leader of music platform and event series Biotechnologia (Biotechnology). Through Biotechnologia and his Dj sets he looking for a balance between deep, ambient techno and broken beats. Psychedelic, tribal, spacey, trancey, acid and dreamy sounds - these are sounds that he interested in. Through events that he promoted and own mixes he try to convince the listeners that mixes based on techno do not have to darkly or brutal but they could have a colorful pallete of emotions and beats.

Tech-room 29 Podcast 54 [Guest Mix] - Axis Operandi

It took me a long time to pull myself together to record the next installment of the Return to Atlantis mix, over a year since the last one. I really wanted it to reflect the trance-like essence of Atlantis. And the perfect opportunity came during the recent Biotechnologia event at Krakow’s Sekta Selekta. I felt it was a good night, with the right vibe for a multi-genre set driven by trance energy.
Inside, you’ll hear trance in its progressive, goa, and psychedelic forms — as well as deep and minimal techno, progressive house, electro, and even some leftfield breakbeat.
I invite you to give it a listen. I have very fond memories of that night on the Sekta dancefloor. I really like this recording — its variety, and at the same time, its surprisingly coherent atmosphere.

Biotechnologia oprócz swego pierwotnego znaczenia, jest nazwą dla badań prowadzonych przez naukowców z planety Vendulla, którzy odkryli, iż za pomocą ambientowego, tribalowego techno z dużą dawką psychodelii, wprawiają w taneczny ruch komórki organiczne. Postanowili więc prowadzić badania nad muzykalnością tychże komórek. Nawiązałem z nimi kontakt, a mój miks to próba oddania muzycznego charakteru ich badań.

Biotechnology, except original meaning, is it the name for research conducted by scientists from the planet Vendulla. After coming on earth, they discovered, that ambient, tribal techno with large dose of psychedelic sounds, lead organic cells into the dance move. So, they decided to conduct research on the musicality of these cells. I contacted with them, and my mix is ​​an attempt to convey the musical nature of their research.
