From London’s inner suburbs comes this next guest, a through and through veteran of UK techno whose touch has left a lasting mark on the world around him. Steve Bicknell’s early days were spent in the intoxicating worlds of dub, reggae, acid, DIY warehouse parties and pirate radio, an auspicious mix of references that would inspire him to make music of his own. After a string of residencies at the UK’s then most influential parties, he launched his own series with creative collaborator Sheree Rashit: LOST. These legendary gatherings brought together names like Plaid, Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Robert Leiner, Basic Channel, and a wider array of future techno hegemons. This was swiftly succeeded with the duo’s launch of imprint Cosmic Records, whose triumph went on to spawn another three successors: LOST (early provider of Bicknell’s dancefloor sounds), Clubtracks (for Chicago-leaning fare) and ID(entity) (a channel for the work of well established music-makers who wanted to release under a secret alias). A nine-year pause in productions came to a halt in the mid 2010s with Steve’s most recent label, 6dimensions, an exploration in sound and the whole spectrum of human emotion. Finally, 2017 saw Steve team up with Luke Slater and David Sumner under the LSD sobriquet, a force for the creation of ‘lysergic machine music’, heavily danceable stuff (just ask ADE, Dekmantel, Awakenings). With a story as full and enduring as Steve’s there’s much to pull from, and only experience in the flesh could attest to the depth and scope of his musical evolution, but it’s clear that the voice he has honed has only become louder and more refined. It’s a techno that’s fully embodied, a blistering percussive barrage that invokes something profoundly human and fundamental. Bassiani Podcast 217 is just a taste of what Steve has to offer, a window onto a world of sound he’s meticulously crafted for over three decades: masterfully layered and piercing sounds that shimmer and relentlessly rise in lockstep with a formidable 4/4 beat.

Born and raised in the vibrant heart of Athens, Greece, Trial's journey into the world of music began in 2014, spinning beats at underground parties . By 2019, he had secured his spot as a resident DJ at "Bside Athens," where he electrified the dance floor with all-night b2b sets alongside his partner in crime, Kx1. His infectious energy and unique sound soon made him a staple in clubs across Athens.
2019 also marked his debut on the airwaves with "Cannibalradio Athens," where he hosted the "Trim Radioshow" until July 2022. Trial's sets are a masterclass in mixing perplexing sounds and textures, with a sharp focus on techno that never fails to surprise his listeners.
In March 2019, Trial dropped his first EP, "Expect Nothing," on the Spanish label Truc Record, followed by the self-released "Prison" EP in October 2019. His musical exploration continued with "Musik für Denken und für Ruhe/Musica per pensare e rilassarsi" in March 2021, showcasing his ability to blend thought-provoking and relaxing soundscapes.
November 2022 marked the beginning of a new chapter as Trial moved to Berlin.His relentless pursuit of innovative sounds and uncharted musical territories promises an exhilarating journey ahead.

@fadimohem is right at the heart of contemporary techno. He brings his own twist on the classic sound - deep, rhythmic and atmospheric. He's a Berghain resident whose first contact with the genre came at the hallowed club, and since then, he has blazed his own trail on the most influential labels in the scene, including his own Mohem imprint. This year, he plays twice at Dekmantel Festival, once as part of WSNWG Live and once on the Radar stage.

Ahead of that, he has put together an exclusive one-hour live set comprised only of unreleased music. It's a masterclass in control that embodies just what you get from Fadi in the club: deep techno planted firmly on the floor but always going somewhere. As dubbed out low ends, glitchy textures and more tripped out melodies come and go, the tension ramps up while both body and mind stay locked.

What a great night at @Mena Club in Berlin with Open Sesame and our friends of the Disco Garten!
Open Sesame hosted the Basement floor - Meaning I could play as hard I wanted. It was quite something to release this energy and have the public reaction.
Thanks to all the people who attended and danced with us throughout the night, it was a blast!

Positive Centre is the Experimental Techno alias of British born Artist Mike Jefford. Currently located in Lisbon after a long period of living and producing music in Berlin. Positive Centre combines analog machines with tape and effects processing to create hypnotic and textural techno music, with releases on Our Circula Sound, Stroboscopic Artefacts, SNTS, Pole Group and Leyla.
