Off the back of the infectious original by London-based twosome Don Diablo and Matt Nash comes the official remix for summer smash ‘Starlight (Could You Be Mine)’ by Swedish dynamo Otto Knows.

Flicking the switch from energy-infused electro, Otto gives ‘Starlight’ a rapturous facelift that is both defiantly uplifting and joyous in its nature. The remix strips the original of its electro muscles replacing those with emphatic bassline swoops and a pumping four-to-the-floor drum stomp.

First nurtured under Swedish House Mafia delegate, Sebastian Ingrosso, Otto flash-banged many with his brilliant debut ‘Million Voices’, which toppled the Shazam chart and went straight on to the BBC Radio 1 playlist. In doing so, he grabbed the thoughts of a surge of new fans while sitting comfortably within the top 15 tracks in the UK singles chart, before eventually going gold in Australia, Belgium, Holland and his native Sweden. Meanwhile, Otto himself was named as a ‘Young Star’ by international tastemaker and Radio 1 DJ, Pete Tong.

With quality rather than quantity at the heart of his work ethic, late last year saw widely praised remixes of Dada Life (“Kick Out The Epic Motherfucker”) and Burns (“Lies) hit the airwaves. The busy festival period took him on jaunts right across Europe including slots at Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Electric Zoo and Ushuaia in Ibiza.

This remix is set to push Otto Knows even further into the consciousness of mainstream listeners while interest is still hot and at a time when electronic music is at its most potent.

Officially released on Axtone on the 14th of October, this remix of ‘Center of the Universe' is ready to become a classic.

This remix has ramped everything up into an even more anthemic piece of big room electro-house with harder kicks, uncompromising electro synths, and bigger build-ups, leaving space for the reworked vocals of Swedish singer Magnus Carlsson to ring through.

The new remix was originally a re-edit sent to the label as a demo that is now being released in it’s own right - A clear indication that Axtone do check through their submissions to find genuine talent!

In spite of his young age, Mateusz Owsiak, better known as Blinders, has already progressed leaps and bounds in the industry and received support from Dirty South, Alesso, Dimitri Vegas, Sebastien Drums and many more. Blinders initially gained popularity after making a remix for Dirty South and Thomas Gold - “Alive”, which climbed to the top of the Beatport Chart. The last 12 months has seen Thomas' star rise high as DJ, producer & remixer. Here at Axtone HQ weve been wondering what they are putting in the water (or should that be Vodka?) over in Russia these days? The last two years have seen the emergence of a number of superstar DJs & producers from our friends in the East. 

Hard Rock Sofa & Swanky Tunes are certainly leading the way alongside their compatriots & Axtone favorites, Arty, Matisse & Sadko.Swanky Tunes make their long awaited debut on Axtone with Here We Go, while for Hard Rock Sofa this brings them to a hat trick of releases following Blow Up and the earth shattering Quasar. Its fair to say these two sets of producers are somewhat prolific, whilst still managing to maintain a high barometer of quality. Between them theyve released on no less than Spinnin, Wall, Refune, Size and Musical Freedom.

Sound wise Here We Go seems to be channeling the Big Beat era with its oversized beats and rolling acid line. Early DJ support has been strong with the likes of Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Afrojack, Thomas Gold and Nicky Romero all playing this stadium sized behemoth.

Arguably the 'ID' track of the year, 'Committed To Sparkle Motion', a title inspired by Donnie Darko, has been the source of much speculation as to the true artist behind this magical vocal; the mystery is no more.

Discopolis are a three-piece band from Edinburgh. They create shoegaze/disco/house music with synthesizers, guitars and drum machines. The school friends, Fergus (vocals, synth and guitar), Laurie (synth, guitar and samples) and Dave (synth, drums, production), formed in late 2010. Developing their live show at summer festivals across the UK and Europe they have supported acts such as Friendly Fires, Wild Beasts, Metronomy, Simian Mobile Disco, Django Django and Matthew Dear while also remixing for The Wombats, Paper Crows, Diagrams, Miaoux Miaoux and Airship.

Their debut single 'Lofty Ambitions' was playlisted on Radio 1 garnering support along the way from Pete Tong and Rob da Bank.

On this initial release of 'Committed To Sparkle Motion' dutch duo 'DubVision' live up to their hype, following up their club hits 'All By Myself' and their collaborative release 'You & I' with Project 46 feat. Donna Lewis. Their signature sound is stamped on this production receiving huge support already from Axwell, Thomas Gold and Swedish House Mafia.

The original and further remixes are to follow on the full release to be scheduled at a later date.

TEDDY-O is internationally renowned for remixes that fuse hip-hop and Afro house, rising to global attention with his viral remix of Travis Scott’s FE!N, which became a worldwide club anthem. Legendary Swedish artist and producer Axwell has teamed up with his protégé Shapov for brand new track, ‘Belong’. The soaring, anthemic vocal will sound familiar to anyone who has seen either artist playing live over the last few months, as it has rapidly become a fan favourite. The record will be released via Axwell’s own Axtone Records label, and includes a ‘Remode’ version from Axwell & Years. 

Axwell said: "Working with Shapov has been a real pleasure. He is one of the most talented artists around right now, and I’m pleased to be a part of his musical journey and to have him representing Axtone at shows all around the world."

Shapov said: “We're very excited to be unleashing ‘Belong’ to the world! It’s been amazing to hear crowds singing it back to us already when we've play it out!”

Axwell is currently in the midst of a packed summer schedule of Axwell Λ Ingrosso shows, and is also taking time out for his solo performances as well as some special Axtone dates which will include appearances from Shapov. He recently hosted an Axtone stage at Tomorrowland, and last week’s Ushuaia Ibiza Axwell Λ Ingrosso show was a special Axtone party. Forthcoming dates include Axtone Mondays at Aquarius, Croatia on August 8 (Shapov) and August 15 (Axwell).

You’d be hard pushed to find bigger debuts for tracks than at Ultra Miami, but getting three dropped across the weekend by both Axwell/\Ingrosso and a reunited Swedish House Mafia is dream factory levels.

Axtone Records is excited to welcome a new Dutch duo to the label, production and DJ powerhouse in the making. Robin & Maurice aka Magnificence.

Starting April 27th, the trio of singles will be released ultimately forming the Magnificence EP that will be landing May 11th.

First up is ‘Cobra’ followed by ‘Fire’ alongside Seth Hills with the final single ‘Out Of My Mind’ alongside Steff da Campo completing the EP.

For the cover art Axtone presents a new artist for the label, French by origin but Tokyo based Quentin Deronzier who has certainly kept it in the Axtone universe whilst moving it to his own galaxy.
