No stranger to the stage, Pilerats Records are thrilled to announce that Catlips is finally stepping out on her own, today releasing the first taste of her debut EP, Casual,with new single ‘Fade’, out exclusively on Pilerats :)

Catlips is the moniker of Katie Campbell who first set her mark on the country as the keyboardist for Kucka and is now gearing up at the forefront of new wave production. Manipulating her own voice, working with analog and digital set ups, & creating companion visual loops to go alongside her live sets, Catlips is a truly multisensory experience.

Bursting onto the scene last year, she has already brought her funked up tunes to the Boiler Room, officially remixed Kucka and Chela, supported electronic gods like Baths as well as spinning records across Istanbul and London. Layering her tough and silky machine-house music with everything from tribal voice samples to cavernous underwater drips, this Perth-based producer sits right at home in the world’s edgiest clubs.
 
Her single Kanimbla, received props from Triple J's Nina Las Vegas, Dom Alessio and anybody with feet geared towards the dance floor. This, as well as stand out tracks on both of the Pilerats compilations, and recognition as a must-watch producer from the likes of In The Mix, Music Feeds and Tone Deaf, has her plastered across the minds of good music-anticipators.
 
If ‘Fade’ is anything to go by, the Casual EP' is set to twist Aussie House music into new dizzying directions. The 5 track release, due March 6, is available for preorder on iTunes now, with an instant grat track copy of the single, stand alone single 'Fade' is available now.

Moon Boots' remix was mysteriously featured in The Magician's Magic Tape 49 as well as his own Reboot Mix last month, and was officially premiered via THUMP.

Tokyo siren @Cuushe returns with Night Lines, her first release for Cascine and fourth for Japan's flau label. Night Lines is presented as a noir storybook, unfolding along four tracks to expose a haunting soundscape, complete with bad guys, funeral processions and skyscraper-sized floral arrangements. The lyrics were penned by Cuushe with underlying productions composed by aus. Many sounds were sourced from films, animations and field recordings, with designs of obscuring timelines and the perception of reality.
