Non-Canon Files - Lay's Taste of the South Taste Test

Like many of you, we spent countless Saturday evenings parked in front of the TV eating dinner, and watching anime on Toonami. For most of us, watching Naruto was a part of that weekend routine. We were there when Rock Lee first fought Gaara, when the Hidden Leaf was attacked by Orochimaru, and when Naruto & Sasuke had it out in the Valley of the End. This week's episode looks back at Naruto, Naruto: Shippuden, and looks forward to Boruto: Next Generations in a very special Non-Canon File retrospective.

We will be spoiling much of Naruto & Naruto: Shippuden in this episode. If you have any plans of watching the show/reading the manga, please do that before listening to this episode. Imagine this: It's the day after Christmas in 2002. You just snuggled into your little blanket fort you made in front of your TV with your brand new purple Gamecube controller in your hands. You pop in an odd little game you didn't ask for, but "santa" had heard that it was a good game for kids from a worker at your local game store. You hear the little jingle of the Gamecube starting up. The screen goes black...suddenly...*CHOO CHOO* The music starts to play, and the title screen comes up - "Animal Crossing."

This episode is our love letter to one of our favorite and most nostalgic game series.
