Aye Rome - On Purpose

Born and raised in Detroit, hip hop artist and songwriter began her career as Aye Rome after moving to Chicago for college. 
Coming from a musical family, with a grandfather invested in the music industry, Aye Rome naturally gravitated toward music and the arts. Her work began with poems and short stories before transitioning into song writing. She focused on perfecting her craft by taking vocal and piano lessons. While in college she studied computer animation and visual effects. 
Inspired by greats such as Missy Elliott, Teyana Taylor, Kimbra, Janet Jackson, Lupe Fiasco, and Kendrick Lamar, Aye Rome released her first song, My City ft Tiye Stylez in 2015. Within the same year, she premiered her first two music videos, Kings Anthem and On Purpose, on HOTNEWHIPHOP. She has been featured on multiple blogs and podcasts, including Unsigned and UIC Radio. 
While it seemed that her direction was unclear, her career took off quickly. Although she took a break from music to recalibrate and find her voice, she has continued to gain support due to natural abilities and undeniable talents over the years. Aye Rome is now back and ready to take the world by storm with a vision that is true to her purpose with new music, new visuals, and even more creativity.
