eat some thing is the second album by classical violist turned experimental electro-acoustic beat producer Ayjay Nils. 

One could describe this album as an expression of utter nonsense. Ragged transitions, samples of children’s toys, absurd news reels, grooves that fuck, something beautiful for a few seconds, sheer rage, and a president of the United States who is adamant about killing dolphins. 

Ayjay Nils, who is currently a fixed member of the Berlin Philharmonic, started playing viola at the age of three, but also grew up listening to Van Halen, Aphex Twin, Jimi Hendrix, and many other bands whose inclusion in this would be too embarrassing. A profound love for the classical canon paired with a later born need to experiment outside his musical comfort zone lead Ayjay Nils first to writing beats and composing, then to diving deep down the rabbit hole of electronic hardware instruments. eat some thing is a strange ride through the subconscious of this middle aged man while his new form of self expression germinates; almost brilliant, almost unforgettable, certainly worth listening to.

Dolphin Acid is the first single from Ayjay Nils’ upcoming album “eat some thing”. 

It’s a short and intense ride through the fictional story of rogue dolphins on acid, who pose a threat to the American people with their perceived antisemitism, and it’s up to Papa Joe Biden to exterminate them. The track includes sound bites of news coverage, presidential speeches, and criticism from supporters of the LGBT dolphin community, all elegantly tone-painted with synthesizers, stolen drum breaks, and a memorable hook from a vintage cartoon.
