Bari-based talent Fedele’s Obscura Music label continues to go from strength to strength as a pioneering platform for avant-garde techno music with a leftfield twist. Following a string of poignant releases earlier in the year, the label returns in November with a generous serving of its undeniably unique sound palate provided by a carefully handpicked selection of celebrated electronic names.

Heading the bill, label boss Fedele is joined by a worthy cast of adversaries, including Damon Jee, Stephan Barnem, Works of Intent, Odd Oswald, VNTM, Rez Dorsia, Golden Virgo, Emitr, Juanito State, and Dustin Holtsberry.

Spanning thirteen tracks, The Sound Of Obscura takes you on a spirited journey through a myriad of different genre-loosened vibes. Whether it’s the marauding grittiness ‘Starfield’, the resonant darkness of ‘Healing’ or Works Of Intent’s ‘Limitless Leisure’ that spins you full of synth-rich electro-laced vocal goodness, the collectively pleasant lean away from mainstream techno and focus on sonic storytelling delivers a firm reminder of Fedele’s appeal and his artistic vision for Obscura.

Nestled between a freshly-squeezed Fedele cut, you’ll find a library of different tales. For the first episode of Talk To The Artist by Aera powered by Paradise Distribution the Berliner welcomes Kristian from Âme in the latter's living room, commonly and widely known as Muting the Noise. It's already been 15 years since Frank and Kristian from Âme and Dixon founded their Innervisions label and started their triumphal procession – 15 years in which obvious qualities have become even more patent, namely Kristian's skills as a curator for the mother label Innervisions and as the man behind Exit Strategy's latest compilation Monodromie – a musical selection dedicated to setting the vibe for a long (club) night. In an all intimate chat at Muting the Noise the in-demand maverick shares insights into his musical mind, how he spends the time without DJing and touring, his role with Frank in the studio, his Drum 'n' Bass trauma and the role of Chateau Flight and I:Cube for Innervisions and generally for his musical mind-set and development and seeing the big picture.
