DJ SPAZZ has been at the forefront of Arizona’s Hard Dance scene since the early years, back when underground raves were word of mouth events held in dark, dingy storage warehouses. Back then raves were very different, consisting of a hundred misfits sweating in a forgotten building somewhere in Phoenix, surrounding a small stage as the sounds of Hard Trance and Breaks filled the air. He began his journey here amongst the outcasts and urchins, drawn into the sounds of Hard Dance. Hometown heroes such as Rize, Starr & Sixxx, DJ Skye and MC Berzerk frequented the stage and Spazz was front and center for each and every performance. 

Eventually Spazz found himself in front of a pair of decks and together with his best friend Devin aka (Grem) developed a style that blended the sweet harmonic melodies of Darren Styles, Breeze, Fracus, Brisk and Ham with the harder basslines and laser-driven sounds of Partycore from the minds of artists like Stormtrooper & D-Lyte, Orbit1, Marc Smith and Scott Brown. Drawing inspiration from these artists, the boys created the perfect mixture of Happy Hardcore that became their signature sound. Together they formed a tag team duo that mirrored their idols Rize & Sixxx with a fresh new take on the scene.

Spazz and Grem quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the Valley’s brightest new tag teams. The boys were performing two to three times a weekend to some of the largest crowds the Arizona rave community has ever seen. Realizing that they could organize bigger and better music events, they formed TMC Entertainment. 

Grem and Spazz began planning their own raves which skyrocketed them into the world of promoting. Powersurge began to take form and over the years grew to become one of Arizona’s legendary annual events. Shows like the Freeze Music Festival and America’s Next Top Raver became the most anticipated nights of the year. They hosted infamous Hard Dance acts such as The Organ Donors, Joey Riot, Showtek, Last of the Mohicans, Evil Activities, Brisk & Fracus, Tatanka, Stormtrooper & D-Lyte, Orbit1, Frontliner and Impact to name a few. TMC events would regularly sell out in an hour and oftentimes the venue would hit max capacity by ten o’clock. It was common to see lines stretching across the street and around the corner filled with smiling faces, colorful clothing, plastic beads and neon paint. These nights would go down in history as some of the most wild and exciting events held in Phoenix.
