"Matriarch" emerged out of a collaboration between Alydian and Azaleh. With hours of modular recordings we carefully selected little pieces of audio and arranged them together. As a result of mangling on the Moog Matriarch synthesizer for a while the synthline in the second section came into being. Reminiscing about that particular moment we decided that it should be the title of the song.

Starting as fun, the idea of remixing "21.12.2012" ended with the fact that we built a small, but very close-knit and talented community of people united by love for @sorrowgarage 's music. My reinterpretation is part of a huge compilation of several dozen tracks, showing all the diversity and creativity of those who took part and how important Joe's music (and this particular tune) is for all of us.
