took 12 hours too long to finish because I didn't realize that the "solo" function in FLstudio is USELESS as when you solo an instrument...unsoloing does not remember your previously muted channels...meaning the "808" guide drums ended up in the main mix when exporting. Then because I didn't have a spreadsheet of which casio drums are tuned to which note I had to repitch the snares to A to sound more like the 808 who's virtue was that it was by default in tune with the lydian d diminished scale I had recorded the 2nd section bass / synth line in.

archive.org did not save any of the website so I can't give credit to the artist properly but I assume from the matrixsynth articles featuring his DIY instrument hacks, mods, circuitbending that he may have lived in Australia then moved to England. 

Anyway this is the best album of CZ music I have ever found...as a special treat this track does feature what seems to be some Casio SK-1 drum blips. But other tracks craft all the percussion using the CZ phase distortion synthesizer as well. 

I don't think I had heard this album when I started my Electric Ninja project in 2010, but if I had of it would have been an additional influence alongside the "Concertmate" collective in France and "PSS-270" in Poland "Casionova" in Australia and "Jebiotto" in Japan.

I’m just profoundly burned out and everything is a facade, no one has any answers I’m exhausted and I truly am just struck dumb at the impasse of myself and the world I seriously don’t know what the fuck we are doing and yet we have all our creature comforts met I’m blaming myself but I’m also offering a warning for people which I think should be taken seriously. I’ve gained nothing from philosophy, critical theory, comparative religion, cybernetics, Marxism etc other than achieving a calculated distance from myself and others and learned how to take things apart and identify exploits in the world that I’m too ethical to employ myself yet I am locked in the sway of the zoo parade of exploited dopes everywhere I go and I just want some gawdamn rest and I don’t know where to get it. Idiots like aminom are fed by places like this and 4chan and telegram and it’s the net gain seems to be dissociation and now I feel deeply dissociated and I recognize it in most everyone around me but look at all the stuff we have and look how pretty and cool and free we are and so on. It’s just like being slapped in the face I guess. To realize that I’ve gained nothing of value from any of it not just this subreddit the entire so called knowledge economy. It’s all atomistic isolation and narcissism and mania. 

Anyways peace I’m tired I’m just burned out on all of it. Telegram too. For a long time I thought I was going somewhere getting something done and I didn’t. People like aminom creep me out and places like this are not necessarily part of the problem it’s just that the mania and schizo stuff gets to me. Mostly Becuase at one point I thought I had answers to those issues for myself and by extension for others I don’t. I wasted my time I think. I could’ve done something else. 

I’m not claiming superiority I’m saying I’m a failure my life has been made worse by the thing that I was doing that I thought would make it better. You can say whatever you want to me about me about whatever it’s what you seem to do best anyways is complain. This isn’t a community telegrams not a community the internet is not a community quoting Zizek paraphrasing Lacan is not impressive etc. I don’t sit around and complain like you Walker I don’t normally spend my time focusing on the negative and anyone on the Telegram or reading my post history will show that. I’m simply publicly venting for having been so foolish and wasted so much effort for nothing. James Earthenware - Emotional Orphanage

From an album that falls somewhere in-between a Steve Layout improvised concept album and a James Earthenware "live" album. Mostly live reinterpretations of Earthenware songs from 2002 ordered and structured around a written story / narrative that was completely disturbing and insane (the cowboy antibiotics marathon). Maybe the closest I came to writing something that sounded like the Jeff Buckley / Radiohead stuff my friends liked at the time...but recycling "character names" from my math rock project with Luke, plus this mentions "captain decoded" who i don't even remember. Maybe i should revisit this idea and write a new story that includes all of my side projects as distinct characters in the story then the soundtrack is just one song from each side project.

And by the way this is the second or third album I scrapped...I made a CD of this one because 2002's "Invisible Monument Erection Foundation" I have no record whatsoever of what form it could have taken. I think those post ADAC songs were better than the ones I'm writing now...I had a lot more energy to put into it. Less technology to contend with as well...There's also another album "Audio sponge for Comma children" that I never told anyone about. That was REALLY miserable, but great lyrically.

Basically I don't want to sound depressing like Thom Yorke. I like the sound of Advance Screening and Rush Hour In LIttle Chicago because they are so full of energy and determination and hope. I want a similar vibe to the one on "alien lanes" which I think kim deal hated because it was too bombastic but that was why I loved it. It's too easy to make sad music...and too many people make sad music already...I want to make idealistic music...It's a tough ideal to reach so a lot of shit is gonna get shelved in the process. Edward also appreciates the sad lyrics I write...but unless I can put them in a song with upbeat music like "cold War Girl" or "Poverty Saved My LIfe" it's just too one-dimensional to be even moderately interesting. Most bands are forced to be one dimensional but I am working for myself so I'm not going to pass up this opportunity to create stuff that transcends or subverts people's expectations of what constitutes a pop song. No one else gets to do this...I'm not wasting the opportunity.

Drums casio SK-1 (resampled) _original patterns lost because FLstudio crashed as i was saving and autosave didn't work as autosave is paused while track plays and it was playing for the whole 20 hours I was working on it and while i was sleeping on repeat. (to defeat this bug you must choose the maximum level of autosave so it doesn't care if track is playing or not). The song had kept looping luckily when the save failed so i recorded the tape out of the m16dx mixer into the zoom H2 essential voice recorder line in (which was a bit hot)....then compressed the mids for more grunge feeling once it was back in cooledit.
