After dope releases on Numbers, Saigon, Audio Culture and most recently Dirty Bird, Brussels-based duo GoldFFinch are back with a triple-bomb EP on Twin Turbo. 

Turbo has always had a great vibe with Belgians, and the love affair continues with this EP… just what the A&R Doctor ordered: no-bullshit, not-at-all annoying, reliable as fuck tracks to play for almost any crowd. This kind of music makes all our jobs easy.

In case you like reading shitty muso-descriptions of tracks, here you go: 'The Light Comes' is a tightly crafted club smasher, a functional blueprint for how to build an understated crossover hit: short deep-house vocal sample, UK-ready / massive bass, and a sleek tech-house groove mixed to perfection. 'The Beast' applies a similarly slick beat but opts for a trippier top-line with spaced vox and pads. Finally, 'Ward Off' builds on a hypnotic arp line with a little spastik-esque snare roll, and voila, another winner.

It's no wonder taste-onados like Mary Anne Hobbs, Claude Von Stroke, and Jackmaster all be chirpin…

Xamiga are back - Legowelt & Xosar team up to deliver 3 tracks of deep aquatic techno and freaked out house jams for M Division Recordings!

Following their debut EP on Rush Hour, this 3 track limited edition 10" on blue vinyl starts with the title track "Oceania". Breakbeats meets ethereal chants and hazy aquatic synths, like a lost AFX record from the early 90s. Next up, "Atlantis Force Code" - euphoric house chords submerged by a wet blanket of swirling pads. Lastly, one strictly for freaked-out late night dancefloors - "Xosheeba" - jacking beats, a tough bassline and a gnarled phantom vocal stabs.

GoldFFinch - Afloat [Preview]

Sweden’s Bleak is fast becoming an essential part of his country’s techno new school. Through releases on Deeply Rooted House, Sudden Drop and Traut he has emerged as a producer of funky, loopy techno a la countrymen Skudge.

Here he debuts on Delsin with a fierce two tracker, Origins of Chaos. The first track ‘Sixteen Crude’ is a cantering techno cut with searing, warbling synths racing along above lazier, underlapping kicks. It’s a nice contrast that gives the acidic track plenty of depth, before the flipside, ‘Subject Target’ deals in more convoluted, whip-snap lines that thrash about like cables in a storm. Industrial yet human, it’s timeless techno that wraps you up in its midst and never lets you go.

'State' showcases prime-time Berghain techno triangulated with Detroit in 1987, Birmingham in 1997 and London today. Complete with laboratory-precise edits and crystalline sampling the EP recall's Richie Hawtin's Plastikman while staying rooted in afro-rhythmic swing with shuffling hi-hats, deep bass and strokes of barely-tamed percussion.

This is advanced body music of exceptional quality and potency.
