It’s with that simple statement that Sam McIntyre (Macca) aka Azmac confirms himself as the ultimate antidote to any stale dancefloor. Together with former member, Aaron Keep-Cusack (Azpet) they reigned the clubs of Melbourne, but now Sam McIntyre continues the legacy on into the future as a solo project. In his native home town of Melbourne he is known for displaying a technical know-how and awareness of dance floors that belies his young age. Whether it’s playing in hardcore bands, or studying for a Bachelor of Audio Engineering degree, Azmac has a natural leaning towards the musical life which is clearly evident whenever he takes control of the club.

This fascination with notes and chords have also seen him take to the studio like fish to water: Azmac tracks are now a regular feature on the Beatport charts, and recent production ‘Congo’ ensured the Melbourne producer his first Top 20 placing on the Beatport Electro-House charts. And if you need any prove of Azmac’s infectious sound look no further than the stir he caused with the huge track ‘Ladies and Gentleman’ which went on to become an underground anthem (and also stayed on the Beatport charts for months).

He strikes a chord with clubbers wherever he plays, and has experienced a surge in popularity all over Australia which saw him poll in the 2015 Inthemix Top 50 DJ poll, Australia’s most prestigious DJ awards, which follows a debut placing in ITM’s 2014 poll. He has played at Australia's biggest festivals which includes national juggernaut Future Music Festival and Summadayze, and is regularly invited to interstate locations like Newcastle, Sydney and Tasmania just to name a few. There is no doubt that demand for Azmac is growing at a rapid pace, and his list of residencies now include Melbourne institutions like Cloud Nine, Block Party at Orange Whip, and Fake Tits at Tramp nightclub.

The future is certainly looking bright for Azmac, and with more tracks on their way the sky’s the limit for this up-and-coming superstar.
