Desire is one of the rising producer and DJ to watch. After releasing an EP on Lobster Theremin’s sublabel There Is Love In You, she comes back with “An Ode to Our Night” that demonstrates her genuine solar energy and introduces us to her universe infused with old school sounds yet twisted with a modern touch. The 5-track EP is imbued in acid, trance, electro, and a lot more influences which convey Desire’s rich and generous approach to music.
Only a few artists are able to carry a message throughout their music and Desire is one of them, as the moving and powerful energy that emanates from the release conveys a feeling of empowerment. Each track transports us in an ecstatic balad blending melancolic moments, dancefloor-ready beats and stroboscopic acid lines.

The 5 original tracks go along with 2 remixes by Azo (Kiosk radio resident, and spotted by Beatport as an emerging talent), and MZA (Maison Close / Taapion)

Various mugs and glasses had begun to gather around her bed; half eaten takeaways and empty beer bottles filled in the gaps around the room. The outside world seemed like a distant place, one she know longer felt part of. Things had started spiralling some weeks ago after she'd been dealt a heavy romantic blow, and since then wallowing and festering had served as her remedy of choice. Deep down she knew that eventually this period would pass and the rebirth phase would begin...

Family member Blutch makes his return to Astropolis Records - the label arm of the festival of the same name - for a brand new EP, Condate. His long player for the imprint last year was a masterclass in colour and melody that saw him play with strains of electronica, IDM and breakbeat. This time round, he still retains that boldness and emotion but with a more dance floor-focused approach. Backed up by a remix from Brussels-based producer and Kiosk Radio resident Azo, the EP flirts with cosmic synths, slick trance influences and crisp breakbeats.

In this EP, piaconcept and Lüma-G revisit the club with their respective artistic backgrounds.
One with her signature sound design borrowing from her IDM and lofi influences, the other with her rhythmic mastery of 90s house. Their common territory is jazz, its rhythms and melodies, but above all its freedom of musical structure !

All continuity includes ruptures. The ocean teaches us that when the current is too strong, we must let ourselves be carried along.

The A-side of the EP dismantles the traditional club structure to offer a version in which the artists allow themselves to break away from the sequencing system dance music. One could be mistaken for thinking that there are several tracks in one, but the ear is easily carried away by this game of questions and answers.

After a complex immersion in the elements of club music, Lüma-G and piaconcept finally concentrate on rhythmic sequences on the B-side. rhythmic sequences.
